Term of service
By downloading, installing, or using the Text and Number Highlighter Chrome extension ("the Extension", "the Software", "we", "our"), you ("User", "you", "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Extension.
Text and Number Highlighter is a browser extension that provides text highlighting functionality for numbers, currencies, years, and custom text on web pages. The Extension includes features such as:
● Highlighting numbers, currencies, and years on web pages
● Custom text search and highlighting
● Profile management for saved search configurations
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Extension for personal or commercial purposes.
You agree NOT to:
● Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Extension
● Modify, adapt, alter, or create derivative works of the Extension
● Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
● Use the Extension for any illegal, unauthorized, or prohibited purpose
● Use the Extension to violate any laws or regulations
● Interfere with or disrupt the Extension's functionality
● Use the Extension to harm, harass, or infringe upon the rights of others
THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
● NO WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY: The Extension is not warranted to be merchantable or fit for any particular purpose
● NO WARRANTY OF ACCURACY: We do not warrant that the Extension will be accurate, reliable, error-free, or uninterrupted
● NO WARRANTY OF COMPATIBILITY: We do not warrant that the Extension will be compatible with all websites, browsers, or systems
● NO WARRANTY OF SECURITY: We do not warrant that the Extension will be secure or free from viruses, malware, or other harmful components
● NO WARRANTY OF DATA: We do not warrant that your data or settings will be preserved or protected
YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT USE OF THE EXTENSION IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER, AUTHORS, CONTRIBUTORS, OR DISTRIBUTORS OF THE EXTENSION BE LIABLE FOR:
● INDIRECT DAMAGES: Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
● LOSS OF DATA: Any loss of data, information, or content
● LOSS OF PROFITS: Any loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, or goodwill
● SERVICE INTERRUPTION: Any damages resulting from interruption of service or inability to use the Extension
● THIRD-PARTY CLAIMS: Any damages resulting from claims by third parties
● TOTAL LIABILITY: In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the Extension (which is $0, as the Extension is free)
THIS LIMITATION APPLIES REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
You are solely responsible for:
● Your use of the Extension and any consequences thereof
● Ensuring that your use of the Extension complies with all applicable laws and regulations
● Verifying the accuracy of any information displayed or processed by the Extension
● Backing up your data and settings
● Protecting your device and data from security threats
● Using the Extension in a manner that does not infringe upon the rights of others
YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY, DEFEND, AND HOLD HARMLESS THE DEVELOPER, AUTHORS, CONTRIBUTORS, AND DISTRIBUTORS FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DAMAGES, LOSSES, LIABILITIES, COSTS, AND EXPENSES (INCLUDING REASONABLE ATTORNEYS' FEES) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO:
● Your use or misuse of the Extension
● Your violation of these Terms
● Your violation of any law or regulation
● Your infringement of any intellectual property or other rights
● Any content or data you provide or process through the Extension
The Extension does not use third-party services that collect or process your data. All functionality runs locally on your device.
● The Extension stores data locally on your device
● We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal information
● You are responsible for the security of your device and data
● We are not responsible for any loss or corruption of your data

● The Extension and all its components are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws
● All rights, title, and interest in the Extension remain with the developer
● You do not acquire any ownership rights by using the Extension
● Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide may be used by us without compensation
● We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue the Extension at any time
● We are not obligated to provide updates or support
● Updates may modify or remove features without notice
● You are responsible for keeping the Extension updated
● We may terminate or suspend your access to the Extension at any time, with or without cause or notice
● You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it
● Upon termination, your right to use the Extension will immediately cease
● Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
