Since their inaugural game on August 20, 2005, Texas Women's Rugby (TWR) has evolved into a powerhouse, cultivating exceptional athletes and contributing to the sport's surging popularity. This growth mirrors the rise of rugby on the global stage, highlighted by the USA Olympic 7s team's bronze medal win at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
TWR's achievements speak to their dedication and talent. The team secured 7's State Championship titles in both 2021 and 2022, demonstrating their dominance. Their prowess extends to national competition as well, with a commendable 3rd place finish at the 7's DI Club Nationals in 2022. Furthermore, their consistent performance in the 15-a-side game earned them 3rd place in the State competition, also in 2022
These accomplishments underscore TWR's commitment to developing well-rounded athletes capable of excelling in both 7s and 15s. As rugby continues its ascent in popularity, Texas Women's Rugby is poised to remain at the forefront, nurturing talent and contributing to the sport's exciting future.
