December 27-31 @ Camp Sol Mayer - Texas Southwest Council Winter Camp
On October 3rd across the council, we will be hosting in-person un-roundtables, where 1) Adults will receive credit for attending a roundtable 2) Important updates for the council will be shared, and MOST IMPORTANTLY 3) WE WILL HAVE A BUNCH OF FUN!
This event is intended for adults only, and is meant to be a fun social opportunity to meet other adults from around your area for a night of games, food, and awesome conversations. All adults from around the council are invited to attend, whether you are a seasoned Scouter or a brand-new parent.
Winter Camp registration officially opened on July 1 for Individual Registration and Merit Badge Selection. If you have already placed a campsite deposit, each participant (youth and adult) in your unit will receive $5.00 off, which will be processed after you input your participants into Blackpug. Further, be sure and sign up your troop by October 31st to receive the early bird discount. We already have had over 90 participants sign up, which means that class spots are filling quickly!
Winter Camp this year will be considered a long-term camp, meaning that it will run from 12:00 PM on December 27th until 10:00 AM on December 31st. Units should plan on arriving no later than 5:00 PM on the 27th, as Dinner will be provided, and there will be a leaders' meeting and opening campfire.
We are still in need of Camp Staff. Anyone over 14 years old by December 26th is eligible! It is a way to go to camp for free and support program in the Texas Southwest Council.

Effective June 1, 2024, the Boy Scouts of America will be implementing program changes across the Cub Scout Program. While this maybe daunting for many leaders, dens, and packs, the goal of these changes is to make the Cub Scout Program Fun, Simple, and Easy. This month's Pack and Troop Training Videos are directed toward discussing these changes, and below are some detailed resources to understand the program changes and how to best implement them:
In place of proper training this month, we HIGHLY encourage you to plan on attending unroundtable on October 3rd, either in San Angelo, Del Rio, or virtually. We will return to our regularly scheduled training program in November for all programs.
