Division Head

The Criminal Investigations Division investigates major crimes including organized crime, human trafficking, narcotics, and violent felonies. CID agents work closely with local, state, and federal partners to dismantle criminal networks and protect Texas communities.

Division Head

This division provides aerial and maritime support for law enforcement missions. Utilizing helicopters, planes, and patrol boats, they assist in search and rescue, surveillance, disaster response, and border security operations across Texas’s vast terrain and waterways.

The PSD ensures accountability and integrity within DPS by overseeing internal affairs, use-of-force reviews, and compliance with agency policies. Their mission is to uphold public trust by investigating misconduct and maintaining high ethical standards.
