The Hampton Inn parking is free, but a short drive to campus is necessary. We will provide parking passes in the SHSU Parking Garage for those that request them. You can obtain a parking permit at this link. You will need to create a guest account and to choose the dates the permit will be valid (the first and last days of the event). Then just follow the prompts to finalize the permit registration. You may park in any parking space that is not reserved in the Sam Houston Parking Garage. There is nothing to display on your vehicle. You may download a campus parking map here.
For those staying at the University Hotel, parking is provided with your registration.
We are providing breakfast (tacos, fruit, pastries, etc.) along with coffee, tea, and water at the workshop location in Evans 105 on both Monday and Tuesday morning.
We are providing lunches at the conference site for all registered participants on Monday, October 13.
After the meeting ends on Tuesday, October 14, participants can self-organize for lunch. Here are some local options.

We welcome workshop participants to a reception at 6:45 pm on Monday, October 13 at the Dominey Observatory. We will provide shuttle buses outside of the Evans Complex at 6:30 pm to take participants to the observatory. For those that would like to drive themselves, see this map. Dinner and drinks (beer, wine, and nonalcoholic) will be provided. The buses will return you to your hotel beginning at 9:30 pm.
