Campus Parking

Workshop participants staying at the DoubleTree can park there for free and walk to Duncan Hall (1.2 miles, about 25 minutes).  If you need to park on campus, please contact Andrew Long before your trip to request a parking pass.  We recommend that you park in the Founder's Court Visitor Parking lot.  You will need to provide a credit card to enter the lot, but you will not be charged if you use the parking pass when exiting.

Food & drink

Rice Village -- A shopping / restaurant district approximately 15 minutes walking from the hotels.

Badolina -- Outstanding cafe + bakery in Rice Village.  Closed Mondays.

Bailson Brewing -- Local craft beer.  Open Sunday till 8.  Closed Monday & Tuesday.  

Hungry's -- New American food with large outdoor patio.

Breakfast

We're providing tacos + fruit + pastries for breakfast starting at 8:30 am on Monday Oct 9 and Tuesday Oct 10.  Talks start at 9:00!  

Lunch

We're providing boxed sandwichs for lunch for all registered partcipants on Monday Oct 9.  

Reception

We welcome workshop participants to a reception at 6:45 pm on Monday Oct 9.  Please join us on the 5th floor balcony of O'Connor Hall, which is directly next door to Duncan Hall where the talks take place.  We will provide drinks (beer, wine, & nonalcoholic) as well as a meal catered by Fajitas A Go Go.
