Every round, each player will be dealt 2 cards that only they can see. Then, 5 cards are dealt to the middle of the table in 3 stages for everyone to see. In the first stage, 3 cards called the "flop" are revealed. The second stage, the "turn," reveals one more card. The final stage reveals the last card and is called the "river." The player with the best hand, based on their cards as well as the ones in the middle, wins the round. Check the Texas Holdem hands guide in-game for a list of poker hand rankings.

Each time cards are dealt (start, flop, turn, and river), players bet on winning the round with chips. Players must ante up a minimum bet after seeing their hands to participate in the round, and must match the highest bet on the table at all times. Matching the current bet is a "call," increasing the bet amount is a "raise," and forfeiting the round is a "fold." If nobody raises the minimum bet from the start of the game, then calling is referred to as a "check." If a player puts all of their chips on a bet, they are "all in." If an opponent runs out of money, a new one will take their place in the next round. The goal is to win as much money from the other players as possible.

The player with the best five-card poker hand wins the pot. In the event of identical hands, the pot will be equally divided between the players with the best hands.

After the pot is awarded, the button moves clockwise to the next player and the next hand is ready to begin. Blinds and relevant antes are placed, and hole cards are dealt to each player.

If it exists, would that algorithm be specific for poker or is possible to reuse it to any game to allow the computer to "learn" the rules described in the programming, for different rules or even different games (so it applies to chess or monopoly, etc)?

I can't speak for the Vista. The Triumph had an electronic poker table that was always empty. I checked a number of times. The Fun Times had listings for poker player meetups a couple of times but I never went to one. If I remember correctly the meetups were usually late, like 10:00 p.m. I never saw anything about a tournament. I was hoping to get into some poker action! Hopefully the Vista will be better for you.

The Conquest poker table this April was packed every night. I think the buy in was $20. You can buy more anytime, but not during a game. There is always one jerk at the table with a $500 balance who goes all in every other game. A $20 buy in might last one hand.

That's not at all what I'm saying. These machines use similar software as what most online poker sites used and it is common knowledge since the investigations by the feds following the online poker shutdown that sites programmed their "randomizers" to have more set up hands that encourage people to put money into the pot. I'm not saying there's not a standard deck or people are putting in cheat codes. I'm saying that the hands do not play randomly and people get more premium hands that they will want to bet, raise, call instead of check and fold.

The Black Tourney is the second biggest rake next to Bingo. Multiplying the amount of people by an average of $30 pp which probably is low, and subtracting the payouts, I estimated the rake at 75%, BJ they also take about 50% like poker. We don't play in the tournaments or bingo.

The Poker tournament entry fee is $150 and the house cut varies depending on the number of players. If it's a full table (10 players, the cut is 50%). If there are 5 players is it 33.3% (prize pool of $500, house fee of $250) I believe, but each player after 5, only $50 of that players' $150 entry fee goes to the prize pool, the other $100 goes to the house (prize pool $750, house fee $750). The winner does receive an entry into Carnival's annual poker tournament (this year it's in August on the Breeze out of Galveston), but no free cruise.

Anyone going on the Carnival Dream on May 5, 2019 and is interested in playing in the grand finale $175,000 texas holdem poker tournament? I am selling my seat as I am unable to attend. The seat can only be transferred once. Just asking $200 for the seat, which is worth $750 Seat must be confirmed by April 5th. Please contact me for details..

This charitable poker tournament was founded by The PM Group in 2016 and has raised over $2 million dollars to date for local San Antonio non-profits. One hundred percent of the net monies raised is distributed to the benefiting 501(c)3 organizations.

Ultimately, poker can be a test of, and a window onto, human nature. The element of luck that can bolster or tank even a good player probably makes it more lifelike than most sports, and to to understand the intricacies, and how to become a force at your table, is both deeply satisfying and well worth the gamble.

Is there a reasonable way to play Texas holdem in such a way that the game has a time limit? A way you can say "the game ends at 10pm" and then determine the winner/distribute the winnings in a fair way?

Some friends and I like to have a fortnightly poker game. Mainly as an excuse to get us all together as we are busy and don't get as much chance to catch up these days. Sometimes just getting us together is hard enough and because we play on a weeknight, some people become reluctant to commit setting aside a night to play because the games can drag on for hours.

The problem with Texas Holdem poker is that it isn't played against the house, but against other players. I therefore doubt if we will ever see it, and that's the reason why three-card poker is in the game instead (because it is played against the house [Rockstar]).

To clarify further. In Texas Holdem, the dealer does just that: deals the cards and nothing more. There is no house edge or a way for Rockstar to siphon off a little bit of our money, which is the case in three-card poker (the aforementioned house edge).

It would just be very deflating if we can't play this version of poker vs our friends or random players, because it would add to the social atmosphere in a huge way. Going head to head vs each other instead of against the house.

I would totally love Texas holdem poker. I don't play it IRL because I'm too sensible, but it would be an awesome game for GTAO, deciding to fold after a crappy first two cards, or gradually betting through until the turn and river. e24fc04721
