Soft Washing

Soft Washing is the method of exterior cleaning through the use of a cleaning solution to eliminate organic matter on exterior surfaces. The cleaning solution is applied at a low pressure, given time to perform and then rinsed off again at low pressure to preserve the surface of the substrate.

Soft washing is favorable over the traditional pressure washing method when cleaning surfaces that can not handle high pressure.

When it comes to our house washing or building exterior cleaning service, sidings such as aluminum, vinyl, Hardie board, asbestos cement, dryvit, EIFS/ETICS, traditional stucco, wood, stone and even brick with brittle mortar, it's recommended to be soft washed to preserve the material while cleaning it.

Many roofing materials such as asphalt shingle, tile, wood shake/shingle, slate, membrane and certain metal roofs are also recommended to be soft washed to increase the longevity of the material.

Even with our concrete cleaning service, soft washing is used as a method of pre and/or post treatment in addition to pressure cleaning to improve the final result and sustain a clean surface for a longer period of time.
