Tim Frankovich has been exploring fantastic worlds since third grade, when he cut up a grocery sack and drew a Godzilla-meets-superheroes story. Since then, he's gotten a little bit better at the writing part (not so much with the drawing). At the moment, he is probably suitably conscious somewhere in Texas with his beloved wife, awesome kids, and a fool of a pup named Pippin.

April Henley is a graduate of Baylor University and has been a Houstonian and proud Texan all her life. Her passion for story writing started in a Creative Writing class in high school. She wrote her first story (that is now "Treasures in a Bottle") and would revisit it again and again through college and her 20s. In 2020, she came back to the story one more time and, in 2023, published it. She writes fiction/fantasy, inspiring children to use their imaginations and encouraging readers of all ages to get lost between the pages. Her outside interests include horseback riding, Renaissance festivals, cosplay, food, and travel.

Scott's fascination with the golden age of trans-Atlantic luxury liners began at an early age with reading Walter Lord's Titanic classic, A Night to Remember. The later discovery that sinkings were not the norm and that ships actually crossed the Atlantic without incident didn't dampen his enthusiasm. He wanted a ship to put in his parent's backyard to play with after elementary school: unfortunately, being a fifth generation Texan and living inland in Dallas, ocean liners are hard to find. After graduating from the University of Texas with a degree in journalism Scott channeled his energies into a career in broadcast news, working for all four major network affiliates, then afterward doing training and corporate videos. Following that was a stint doing media for non-profit entities. Along the way, and despite his best efforts, he collected one Emmy® nomination, 19 Telly Awards, three Aegis Awards, two Addy awards and five Best Newscast in Texas awards from the Associated Press, as well as an honorable mention from PR News for blogging for a non-profit. Outside of media and broadcast, he is the author of "A Little Theatre", a two-act comedy that has been produced by several Texas community theaters with relatively few over-ripe tomatoes thrown at the actors.

I decided to be a Storyteller when I was ten, and I never looked back. I did all the usual starving artist jobs (janitor, waiter, bookstore clerk) and a few unusual ones (happened to be the 62nd Aviation Rescue Swimmer in the US Coast Guard). I’m the author of fourteen novels, including the epic historical fiction saga By the Hands of Men (a repeated number one bestseller in the “Historical World War One Fiction” category on Amazon) and the comic fantasy Cthulhu, Amalgamated Memoirs cycle. Briefly a member of the WGAW (the Screenwriter’s Guild), in 2018, I received the first The John Milius Screenwriting Award for my original film script Cold Day in Hell.

I believe that every story we write contains a piece of our soul, living on through the characters we create. We should always write with integrity and be proud, regardless of the ending. Let our minds flow so our hearts will be grateful.

I grew up reading fantasy novels and comic books, where heroes battle evil at every turn, and I often wrote similar little stories for fun. Later, I began writing my own fantasy books when I couldn’t find the kind of fantasy story I really wanted: I needed swords and sorcery, heroes and villains, and something with a kung fu flair to it as well! What started as a single Epic Fantasy story ended up as five books in all, and then I shifted into writing an Urban Fantasy series set in Houston, Texas. I’ve found that if I have fun writing my stories, people have fun reading them, too—and I have a TON of fun writing! Whether you’re an Epic Fantasy fan or prefer your magic and monsters in a more modern setting, I hope you’ll enjoy my books!

Storytelling has always been a part of Kay Melbrell’s life–from elaborate make-believe as a kid to theater in high school to adding backstories to electrons in college as she pursued an undergraduate degree in Physics. Fate converged when she was invited to play in a tabletop role playing game. Asked to bring a short backstory, Kay couldn’t help herself and wrote several pages where others wrote a paragraph. And even that was not enough. She had more to explore in the world and characters she had created. So in 2017, she started writing The Lost Spark. Five years later she published it and hasn’t stopped writing since. Currently, she lives in Texas and writes noble bright fantasy and science fiction stories where life can be hard but hope always finds a way.

I discovered the magic of books at an early age and blame my local library for fueling my Nancy Drew obsession. It only made sense that I would write mysteries. I have two cozy mystery series on Amazon with lots of humor and fun; The Grace Texas Murder Mysteries and the Green Witch Village Mysteries. When I'm not writing or reading, you can find me poring through East Texas antique shops, baking with my daughters, or catering to the whims of our very opinionated cat.

My life has been one circuitous episode after another. There were times when I was inspired and there were times when I had to reflect on my not so uplifting choices. I was always looking for things fun to do and learn. But decades went by, and I began to wonder if, and when, I was going to decide how I wanted my life to be. Thankfully, I came up with an aspiration to prove to myself that I knew what I was thinking and talking about by writing about how I see the world through the viewpoint of a fictional character from another planet. Planet Storyland is proof that I confronted this challenge. I love life. I can’t think of anything better than being alive. And, to show my sincere appreciation I am going to share my inspiration, PLANET STORYLAND, with as many people who also believe that life is absolutely amazing!

Tricia L. Sanders writes cozy mysteries and women’s fiction. She adds a dash of romance and a sprinkling of snark to raise the stakes. Her heroines are humorous women embarking on journeys of self-discovery all the while doing so with class and sass. And fiction is more fun than training guides and lesson plans.

A longtime adventurer, I grew up everywhere. A Mexican mom, a plain ole WASP dad and years of oil brat adventures overseas led to a wide view of the world. I’ve been published with Liquid Silver Publishing (an adult fairy tale under a pen name) and Archway Publishing (A Careless Witch). Along with experiencing many cultures and countries, I was born with a strong metaphysical bent. You know those times when you thought you might not be alone? You were right.
I’m a children’s book author and illustrator. Having a passion for creating educational books and first chapter books bring me such happiness. I can’t wait for my books to have new homes and I love to see the excitement on little ones face. Being a mother of 3, education is very important to me. A love of history, family legends, and the creative art of writing inspired them to create a series that explores the human condition and one that delves into the experiences that stab at the heart and either destroy or make people stronger. Love, drama, crime, and passion reflected in their stories captivate readers to the very end making them eager for the next installment of The Secret Keepers. In their spare time, Anna and Carolyn enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Author Jenna Maddix loves to write children’s stories that inspire imagination, quirkiness, and wonder. Before following her passion for storytelling, she worked for over a decade as a Public Affairs Specialist at NASA’s Johnson Space Center before she left to care full-time for her son, who was born with a rare disease, called Lowe syndrome, that affects 1 in 500,000 males. Margaret was born and raised in Blessing, TX, a small 600-person town near the Gulf of Mexico. Her best friend growing up was her grandmother, “Mimi,” the elementary school librarian. When Margaret was a young girl, her family would help rehabilitate injured or abandoned animals and release them back into the wild. These careful actions got her a spot on the Houston Zoo Crew volunteer team in middle school, where she learned and interacted with more exotic animals like jellyfish, sharks, and the occasional reptile. Margaret has an industrial distribution degree from Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in psychology from Grand Canyon University. She is married to her husband Cameron Bain, who she met in college during an internship in Dallas, TX. They have 2 spunky cats named Marco and Polo, and an energetic Australian shepherd named Mabel together in Houston, TX, where they both live and work.

Howdy everybody, I’m Mari, a Texan gal with a deep love for Jesus and a special fondness for bluebirds. Bluebirds have always captured my heart, as they are often seen as symbols of happiness. One of my favorite scriptures, Psalm 118:24, reminds us: "This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." My journey as an independent author has been both exciting and humbling. While my original plan was to write a story about my beloved dog, Chachi (a project I still plan to pursue), I felt a calling to begin with a story that honors God. When He places something in your heart, the only response is to follow with faith.
