As a public school teacher with an entrepreneurial spirit, our founder, Jay Galbraith, became increasingly alarmed by the lack of resources schools provided to assist struggling students. After a full day of teaching, he would stay late, providing academic tutoring and coaching.  Wanting to expand the impact of student support, he and another public school teacher, Steve Delvoye, left teaching in 2001 and opened Tevilo Learning Solutions, which is still flourishing in Naperville, Illinois, today. With an income-based fee schedule, they provided individual- and group-based tutoring and academic coaching services to area K-12 children. Soon thereafter, they expanded their staff to include additional services, including ESL/EFL, early reading recovery, GED training, college preparatory courses, and test-prep for the ACT, SAT, and GRE.  

Their biggest expansion, however, came when they created a separate division (called Tevilo-X) for corporate learning and development. Tevilo-X provided a host of on-site corporate training and development services (micro-trainings, executive development programs, leadership retreats, etc.) for organizations within the Chicago vicinity.  

At Tevilo, our portfolio of learning solutions has expanded and adapted to educational, technological, and market demands. TEVILO has grown from two founding members to a team of over 300 trained experts and licensed professionals worldwide, but our mission remains the same: Everyone deserves exceptional learning support services to maximize their learning potential.
