Tropic Future Proposals

Building on the Collective Atlas, these Tropic Future Proposals speculate on how design, material, and spatial logics observed in Okinawa might operate within a future mainland Japan shifting toward subtropical climate conditions. Students imagined Tokyo facing longer summers, higher humidity, stronger storms, and increased heat-related vulnerability. Each proposal translates an Okinawa-derived logic into a spatial or architectural response within an existing Tokyo condition.
