Test Site & Websites for Escape Rooms

Hi!

Trouble Shooting #1: TESTING THE SITES USED IN ENGLISH, OH MYS! ESCAPE ROOMS

Below are the websites I may use in the Escape Rooms I create. It is often I use YouTube and Jigsaw Planet. Test these two sites below in your classroom. If you are getting error messages from your school computers, you school may have a firewall up and is blocking these sites. If this is the case, you can reach out to your IT department, and see if they will lift the block for your classroom activity.

Trouble Shooting #2-MAKING SURE GOOGLE SITES IS NOT BLOCKED IN MY CLASSROOM

If you post the Google Sites Link in Google Classroom, and you are getting a 404 message or the website is not loading, again, your school may have firewalls up to block Google Sites. Here is a work around:

1. On your students' Chrome Books, have them log out of their Google Chrome account in the top right hand corner.

2. Once they do this, have them reload Google Chrome and refresh the page.

3. Have them manually type in the URL of the Escape Room. You can even try it with this test page.

4. This normally works, and they may have to do it a few times.

Jigsaw Planet-If the puzzle is complete, click on the three dots in bottom left hand corner, and CLICK RESTART.
