When your audio connectors are color-coded, red is associated with the Right channel, by convention. It won't sound any better, but will help you to make the "right" choice when your audio cables are in a mess!
When I try to play audio via the pair, I hear the following announcement on the speaker that plays the music:
"I can't connect to the other speaker in this pair, make sure it is connected to power and WiFi"
The music then plays on that speaker alone, not the stereo pair.
I've tried this in Musicolet and Spotify and get the same issue.

I had some updates yesterday and since, no app sound on my 18.04. Speaker test works, i her the "left, right" when i change the volume, i can hear the little sound to show the volume has changed. My device is recognized and seems to work but that is as far as it goes.
But Firefox still has no sound, my streaming service has no sound as well.I removed / purged alsa and pulseaudio, reinstalled them and forced it, rebooted, still NOK.I cannot find anything relative to 18.04 or might have searched badly.

Syntronic, SynthMaster 2 and other up to date stereo synth audio units are mono, if the host is Cubasis 3. If the host is AUM, the synth are stereo, as expected.
In the meantime the iPadOS version and Cubasis 3 were updated to iPadOS 16.2 (20C65) and Cubasis 3.5. When adding the audio units the output was stereo after closing and opening Cubasis 3 the signals are mono. Restarting the iPad gains nothing.
The issue is still the same whatever AU synth is used. By the internal speakers the audio output is mono, if I connect an USB audio to headphone thingy from Delock with a Realtek ALC4040, the audio output is mono, too. If I connect an USB audio interface Scarlett 18i20 2nd generation and listen by channels 7+8 or channels 1+2 the output is stereo.

so i tried that on the track that mastering guy said was mono and sure enough silence thank you. I tried the same thing on a stereo track i know is stereo and the track deleted is that correct ? So my conclusion is stereo and seperation is tricky business and 2 channels does not tell the story. I have done 45 albums in my career and just started recording at home so never had to learn anything the engineer did everything for me

Quickly and accurately measure a drivers T/S parameters. Just attach the test leads directly to a drivers terminals and click "Measure Free-Air Parameters" and the impedance magnitude will be displayed on the graph along with the measured Re, Fs, Qts, Qes, Qms, and Le. I have an audio file (WAV format to be specific). When I open it with an editor (e.g. audacity), I see two channels I suspect that the recording is actually mono rather than audio, i.e. I suspect the tracks are duplicate. What's an easy way to check whether they are...
Flip the phase of one side & sum the outputs to mono.
If the result is silence, then it was mono; if not, it was stereo.
Even in stereo some parts will have been panned centre - vocals, bass, a lot of the drums etc, but you will hear an overwhelming difference between "some bits are missing " and "almost total silence".
If you just hear odd little tinny, crackly bits of the track, or just periodic fizzes, crackles & thumps, put this down to poor encoding, it's still 'mono' to all intents & purposes.
Effect > Invert
There is no effect dialog containing parameters for this effect; Invert operates directly on the selected audio.If the inversion takes an appreciable time, a progress dialog will appear.
Use the Audio Track Dropdown Menu and choose Split Stereo to Mono.
Select one channel but not the other, apply Invert and then Play. The vocals in each track will cancel each other out, leaving just the instrumentals.
Find out how different the stereo channels are: Use the same steps 1 and 2 above on any stereo track. If the audio is just as loud after the steps as before, the channels are very different. If the result is silence, the track is not really stereo but dual mono, where both left and right contain completely identical audio.
These simple tests will fail if the two tracks are similar but shifted in phase, or similar but with different volumes. A formula able to spot similarities also in such cases may exist but I'm not familiar with the Audacity Nyquist Prompt enough to help you further. 2351a5e196
