Room RDC 11: Oderay Quijada & Zuleika Zapateiro - "Revise, Repeat, Retain for Vocabulary Teaching" - (GV, PRIM) - Panama TESOL
Vocabulary as a vital component of language provides the basis for how well learners develop language skills. This presentation examines use and practice of the "Three Rs" revise, repeat, retain when teaching vocabulary to teenagers. Participants will leave with ready-to-use activities to adapt to their own classroom contexts.
Bio:
Oderay Quijada graduated from the University of Panama with a B.A. in English, and she got her Master's degree in TESOL from Universidad Latina de Panama. Oderay, who has teaching experience at different levels in public and private institutions, has participated as a presenter at different Tesol affiliates' conventions. She currently works at the University of Panama and I.P.T. Don Bosco.
Zuleika Zapateiro holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Universidad de Panama and a Master´s degree in TESOL from Universidad Latina de Panama. Zuleika has been involved in the teaching field for more than 25 years and has participated in national and international educational events. Zuleika has taken a variety of roles such as: EFL teacher, Academic coordinator, teacher trainer, volunteer, and Panama TESOL member.
