Terry’s academic journey is impressive and diverse. He graduated summa cum laude in Nuclear Engineering from Mississippi State University, earning the honor of Engineering Fellow and Harry S. Truman Memorial Scholar. Driven by a passion for learning, he pursued graduate studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), earning dual master’s degrees in Nuclear Engineering and Technology and Policy. During his time at MIT, he was also awarded a National Science Foundation Fellowship, reflecting his dedication to advancing his education and contributing to his field.
Terry didn’t stop at technical expertise; he expanded his horizons by earning a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from Georgetown University, graduating cum laude. Before transitioning to private practice, Terry spent 18 years in academia, teaching law, engineering, and computer science. His time as a professor was centered on mentoring and guiding students through the real-world applications of their studies. This experience honed his ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, a skill he now uses to help clients navigate the intricacies of estate planning.

His ability to integrate legal, economic, and technical strategies allows him to create customized plans that effectively protect and grow his clients’ wealth.
Outside of his professional life, Terry is passionate about personal interests that reflect his individuality and pursuit of excellence. He is an avid collector of high-top Chuck Taylors, with more than 150 pairs in his collection, many of which are custom-labeled. He is also a boating enthusiast, enjoying both sailing and power boating, and owns a 47-foot power catamaran. These hobbies reflect his commitment to balance and a well-rounded life.
