Service and Outreach

I am very passionate about mathematics outreach and making math more accessible and exciting for all! Below, you can read about of some of the projects and activities I've been involved in.

Mathematics of Gerrymandering

Some UGA math grad students and I made a fun and accessible video to explain the mathematics of gerrymandering to a broad audience. We submitted the video to the UGA capturing Science competition

Update: We won second place! See all of the winners and submissions here

UGA Stem Zone

STEMzone is an interactive science outreach event that was held before the UGA vs. AU football game. Our tailgate explored the 4 color theorem, bubbles, and Möbius bands.

UGA Math Camp

MathCamp is a week long program for high school students to come learn about some cool math topics. Topics have included topology, graph theory, number theory, cryptography, mathematical problem solving, and mathematical biology.
