Make-Up Training Instructions

Thank you for your interest in paddling for Terrapin Tally.  Our live training sessions have already been conducted for this year but you can still train by reviewing the recorded training materials.

2024 Terrain Tally Make-Up Training Instructions

NEW VOLUNTEERS (and interested returning volunteers) should review the Pre-Training Orientation Materials here:

http://terrapintallync.org/registration

ALL VOLUNTEERS should review the recording of the Training Presentation (returning volunteers who have participated multiple years may choose to review just the slides) here:

http://terrapintallync.org/training-materials  (at the bottom of the list)

After reviewing the training materials, complete the Training Attendance Sign-In Sheet

To get access to the Terrapin Tally Calendar Sign-Up Schedule

1)  Complete the Training Attendance Sign-In Sheet

2)  Fill out a volunteer application and create a Track It Forward account if you do not already have one.

·         Go to http://terrapintallync.org/log-hours  (those who already have an account can sign-in or reset password from here, just scroll to the bottom where the hour log is)

·         Click the Link in the first paragraph that says “Volunteer Application”

·         Remember the email address you use for signing up and the password you create. (You will use this to log volunteer time in the future.)

3)  Email us at terrapintallync@ncwildlife.org to let us know you completed the training materials and registered in Track It Forward (include your name and email address the account is under). We will then update your account to give access to the calendar.  We will then email you to let you know it’s been updated.

4)  Once you have access to the calendar, Go to http://terrapintallync.org/schedule to sign up for a route (make sure you are signed in to track it forward on the device you view the schedule from).

5)  Reach out to the Site Coordinator for additional site-specific questions (their contact information will be on the sign-up site and confirmation email).

Also, don’t forget to log your time reviewing the training materials and communicating with us!  All supporting activities count. http://terrapintallync.org/log-hours
