Hi! I'm Terra Patrick, a Writer and Digital Marketer located in Calgary, Alberta.

I've written and edited dozens of short stories in various genres and for various audiences. I enjoy experimenting with different writing styles and have entered (and won or achieved publication or recognition) multiple global writing competitions. I'm able to write according to prompts, admission specifications/project guidelines, and target audiences, and am comfortable working within deadlines. In my editing process, I ensure consistent tone and voice, as well as technical/grammatical accuracy.

I also write poetry and experimental, hybrid-genre pieces, such as December's Dead, Now, published in July 2023 in Over / Exposed Literary. 

I had multiple stories accepted for publication through 2022, including my short story Life Online, winner of Elegant Literature Magazine's Fearless Friendship Contest.  

Life Online: Faced with a decaying world and feeling hopeless, best friends Penelope and Alissa make a desperate, dangerous choice that could alter both of their realities forever, or end Alissa's life. 

December's Dead, Now: Experimental prose poetry about imaginary lizards and difficult decisions.   A night in the life of Mark, a young man experiencing homelessness, from the perspective of his loyal dog, Buddy.
