Better Than B4 Sport Ecosystem
Last updated: 8 June 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to the sport-related services, programmes, camps, training activities, advisory services and development projects operated, promoted, delivered or supported by Better Than B4 Ltd.
Please read these Terms carefully before registering for, booking, purchasing or participating in any BTB4 sport-related activity.
1. Who we are
Better Than B4 Ltd
Company No.: 14476533
VAT No.: 428 9519 56
Registered Office:
4 Three Spires House, Station Road,
Lichfield, WS13 6HX, England
Email: director@betterthanb4ltd.com
In these Terms, “BTB4”, “we”, “us” or “our” means Better Than B4 Ltd.
2. Scope of these Terms
These Terms apply to the BTB4 sport ecosystem, including, where applicable:
IPDE Pro Camp;
PlayersLab International projects;
SportLab International projects;
House of Football projects;
football camps;
individual and small-group training;
player development programmes;
parent and player advisory services;
technical consultancy;
affiliated development centres;
partner-operated sport projects;
BTB4-owned or directly operated development centres;
workshops, events and sport experiences.
Specific programmes, camps, centres or partner projects may also have their own additional terms, registration rules, payment terms, safety rules or cancellation policies. Where specific terms are provided, they apply together with these Terms.
If there is a conflict between these general Terms and specific programme terms, the specific programme terms will apply for that programme.
3. Important distinction: two service models
BTB4 operates in two different ways depending on the project.
3.1 Partner / Affiliate Organiser Model
In some camps, events, projects or affiliated centres, the activity is organised, sold, hosted or administered by a local partner, school, club, academy, venue, affiliate or third-party organiser.
In this model:
the partner or affiliate may be the direct contractual provider to the participant or parent/legal guardian;
the partner or affiliate may manage registration, payment, venue, accommodation, local logistics, local insurance, local authorisations and local compliance;
BTB4 provides methodology, coaching staff, technical know-how, player development content, field delivery, advisory input or programme support;
BTB4 is responsible only for the services that BTB4 has expressly agreed to provide;
the partner or affiliate remains responsible for the services, facilities, payments, accommodation, local transport, venue management, local staff or other obligations that it provides or controls.
Before registration, the participant or parent/legal guardian should check who the official organiser and contractual provider is for the specific camp, programme or project.
3.2 BTB4 Direct Provider Model
In other programmes, including BTB4-owned centres, BTB4-managed projects, direct consultancy services or direct player development services, BTB4 may be the direct contractual provider to the participant, parent/legal guardian or client.
In this model:
BTB4 manages or controls the relevant service directly;
registration, payment, communication and service delivery may be handled directly by BTB4;
BTB4 is responsible for providing the service described in the relevant programme information, subject to these Terms and any specific terms agreed with the client.
The applicable service model will depend on the specific project, programme, centre or agreement.
4. Definitions
In these Terms:
Participant means the athlete, player, child, young person or adult taking part in a BTB4-related activity.
Parent / Legal Guardian means the adult legally responsible for a participant under 18 years of age.
Client means the person purchasing or receiving a BTB4 service, including parents, guardians, athletes, clubs, academies, partners or organisations.
Partner / Affiliate means a third-party organiser, academy, club, venue, school, centre, company or local partner that organises, hosts, sells or supports a BTB4-related activity.
Programme means a camp, training course, development programme, advisory service, consultation, event or related sport service.
Service means the specific activity or support provided by BTB4 or by a partner/affiliate.
5. Registration and acceptance of Terms
By submitting a registration form, enquiry form, application, booking request, payment or signed agreement, the client accepts these Terms.
For participants under 18, the parent or legal guardian must complete the registration and accept the Terms on behalf of the participant.
BTB4 or the relevant partner/affiliate may refuse or cancel participation where required information is incomplete, inaccurate, missing or not provided in time.
6. Eligibility and suitability
Some programmes may have age limits, technical requirements, physical requirements, experience levels, language requirements or selection criteria.
Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into a programme.
BTB4 or the relevant organiser may assess whether a participant is suitable for a specific programme based on age, level, safety, group balance, availability, technical objectives or other relevant criteria.
BTB4 may recommend an alternative programme where it considers this more appropriate for the participant.
7. Services provided by BTB4
Depending on the project, BTB4 services may include:
football methodology;
technical coaching;
tactical development;
individual or small-group training;
player assessment;
training planning;
player development feedback;
parent and player advisory;
educational workshops;
sport development consultancy;
coach education;
field delivery during camps or training sessions;
technical coordination with partners or affiliates.
BTB4 does not guarantee any specific sporting outcome, selection, contract, trial, academy placement, professional opportunity, scholarship, transfer, performance result or career result.
All services are provided as development, training, educational, advisory or methodological services.
8. Advisory and consultancy services
BTB4 may provide advisory services to players, parents, guardians, families, clubs or partners.
These services may include:
career orientation;
player pathway analysis;
development planning;
family guidance;
football environment analysis;
training recommendations;
educational or personal development guidance;
strategic sport consultancy.
Unless expressly agreed in writing, BTB4 advisory services do not constitute:
legal advice;
tax advice;
financial advice;
medical advice;
psychological therapy;
agent representation;
intermediary services;
transfer negotiation;
guaranteed club placement;
guaranteed professional contract;
guaranteed trial or scouting outcome.
Where specialist advice is required, the client should consult an appropriately qualified professional.
9. Fees and payments
Fees, payment deadlines, payment methods and included services are specified in the relevant programme information, invoice, booking confirmation or partner/affiliate terms.
In the Partner / Affiliate Organiser Model, payments may be collected directly by the partner or affiliate. In that case, the partner or affiliate is responsible for its own payment terms, invoicing, refunds and local tax obligations, unless otherwise stated.
In the BTB4 Direct Provider Model, payments are made to BTB4 or to a payment provider appointed by BTB4.
Unless otherwise stated, fees may not include:
travel;
accommodation;
meals;
insurance;
personal equipment;
medical certificates;
visa or travel documents;
local transport;
additional activities;
third-party services;
photo or video products;
personal expenses.
10. Online bookings and right to cancel
Where a service is purchased online or at distance directly from BTB4 by a consumer, the client may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days, depending on the nature of the service and applicable law.
If the client asks BTB4 to begin providing the service during the cancellation period, the client may be required to pay for the part of the service already provided.
If the service has been fully performed within the cancellation period with the client’s express consent and acknowledgement, the right to cancel may be lost, where legally permitted.
For services purchased from a partner or affiliate, the cancellation rights and procedures may be set out in that partner’s or affiliate’s own terms.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Cancellation by the client
The client may cancel a booking by notifying BTB4 or the relevant partner/affiliate in writing.
The applicable refund or cancellation policy depends on the specific programme and the service model.
Unless specific programme terms state otherwise, BTB4 may apply the following cancellation approach for BTB4 direct services:
cancellation more than 30 days before the programme start date: refund of fees paid, minus any non-recoverable administrative, payment processing or third-party costs;
cancellation between 15 and 30 days before the programme start date: partial refund may be available, depending on costs already committed;
cancellation less than 15 days before the programme start date: no refund may be available, unless required by law or agreed by BTB4;
no-show or early departure: no refund, unless required by law or agreed by BTB4.
Where cancellation is due to serious illness, injury or exceptional circumstances, BTB4 may, at its discretion, offer a credit, transfer or partial refund, subject to evidence and availability.
For partner or affiliate projects, the partner’s or affiliate’s cancellation policy may apply.
12. Cancellation or changes by BTB4, partner or affiliate
BTB4, the partner or the affiliate may cancel, postpone, relocate or modify a programme where necessary due to:
insufficient registrations;
coach availability;
venue issues;
safety concerns;
weather conditions;
travel disruption;
illness or injury of staff;
force majeure;
governmental restrictions;
operational reasons;
circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Where BTB4 is the direct provider and cancels a programme before it starts, the client will normally be offered a refund, credit or alternative date, depending on the circumstances.
Where a partner or affiliate is the organiser, the partner or affiliate is responsible for its own cancellation, refund or alternative arrangement policy.
BTB4 is not responsible for costs that the client incurs independently, such as travel, accommodation, flights, visas, insurance or personal expenses, unless required by law or expressly agreed in writing.
13. Changes to programme content
BTB4 aims to deliver programmes as described. However, BTB4 may adapt training content, schedules, coaching groups, session structure, staff allocation or methodology delivery where this is necessary or beneficial for safety, quality, group level, weather, facility availability or technical reasons.
Changes of this kind do not automatically entitle the client to a refund, provided that the core service is still delivered with reasonable care and skill.
14. Health, fitness and medical information
Participants must be physically fit and able to take part in football and sport activities.
Parents/legal guardians must inform BTB4 or the relevant organiser of any medical condition, allergy, injury, medication, disability, dietary requirement, behavioural concern or other issue that may affect participation or safety.
BTB4 may refuse or restrict participation where it reasonably believes that participation may create a health, safety or welfare risk for the participant or others.
BTB4 staff and coaches do not provide medical diagnosis or medical treatment. In case of emergency, BTB4 or the relevant organiser may contact emergency services, medical professionals, parents/legal guardians or emergency contacts.
15. Insurance
Participants and parents/legal guardians are responsible for ensuring that the participant has appropriate insurance where required, including health insurance, travel insurance, accident insurance or sports participation insurance.
In the Partner / Affiliate Organiser Model, the partner or affiliate may be responsible for local venue insurance, event insurance or other required local insurance.
In the BTB4 Direct Provider Model, BTB4 will maintain insurance appropriate to the services it provides, where required.
BTB4 does not provide personal travel, medical or accident insurance for participants unless expressly stated in writing.
16. Safeguarding and welfare
BTB4 takes the safety and welfare of children and young participants seriously.
Participants, parents, guardians, coaches, staff and partners must behave respectfully and must follow safeguarding, welfare and safety rules.
BTB4 may take appropriate action where there are concerns about:
bullying;
harassment;
discrimination;
abusive behaviour;
unsafe conduct;
inappropriate communication;
breach of safeguarding standards;
risk to a child or young person;
behaviour that damages the safe environment of the programme.
This may include warning, removal from a session, exclusion from a programme, reporting to the relevant organiser, contacting parents/legal guardians, contacting safeguarding professionals or notifying authorities where required.
17. Participant conduct
Participants must:
follow coach and staff instructions;
respect other participants, coaches, staff and facilities;
behave safely and responsibly;
wear appropriate clothing and footwear;
use equipment correctly;
avoid dangerous, aggressive, discriminatory or disruptive behaviour;
inform staff of injuries, pain, illness or concerns;
comply with programme rules and venue rules.
BTB4 or the relevant organiser may remove a participant from a session or programme if their behaviour creates a safety, welfare, disciplinary or operational concern.
No refund is due where a participant is removed due to serious misconduct, unless required by law.
18. Parent and guardian conduct
Parents and guardians must behave respectfully towards participants, staff, coaches, partners, referees, venue staff and other families.
Parents and guardians must not interfere with coaching sessions, place inappropriate pressure on participants, use abusive language, film or photograph other children without permission, or disrupt the safe delivery of the programme.
BTB4 or the relevant organiser may ask a parent or guardian to leave the venue or may restrict attendance where behaviour is inappropriate or disruptive.
19. Photography, video and media
Photos and videos may be used only in accordance with the applicable privacy policy, consent form and media permissions.
BTB4 may use video or photography for internal technical development, coach review, player feedback or programme documentation where legally permitted and appropriately communicated.
Public use of identifiable images or videos of minors for marketing or promotional purposes will normally require separate parent/legal guardian consent.
Parents, guardians and spectators must not publish images or videos of other children without appropriate permission.
BTB4 may request removal of any image, video or post that creates a safeguarding, privacy or reputational concern.
20. Data protection
BTB4 processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and, where applicable, specific privacy notices for particular platforms, photo shops, booking systems or partner services.
Clients must provide accurate personal data and must update BTB4 or the relevant organiser if information changes.
Where a partner or affiliate is the organiser, that partner or affiliate may also act as an independent data controller for its own registration, payment, venue, accommodation, communication or operational activities.
21. Intellectual property
All BTB4 methodologies, training concepts, documents, manuals, session plans, assessment formats, technical frameworks, brand materials, logos, presentations, videos, graphics and programme content remain the intellectual property of BTB4 or its licensors.
Clients, participants, partners and affiliates may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, modify, publish, teach, license or commercially exploit BTB4 materials without prior written permission.
Participation in a programme does not transfer any intellectual property rights.
Partners and affiliates may use BTB4 materials only within the limits expressly agreed in writing.
22. Brands and project names
Names, logos and brands such as Better Than B4, BTB4, PlayersLab International, SportLab International, IPDE Pro Camp, House of Football and related project names may be protected brand assets.
No partner, affiliate, client or third party may use BTB4 brand assets for commercial, promotional or public purposes without written authorisation.
23. Third-party venues, services and partners
Some programmes may involve third-party venues, schools, clubs, academies, accommodation providers, transport providers, event organisers, booking platforms, payment providers, photographers, medical providers or other suppliers.
BTB4 is not responsible for third-party services that are not under its control, unless required by law or expressly agreed in writing.
Clients must comply with the rules, policies and instructions of third-party venues and providers.
24. Affiliate and partner centres
Where a BTB4 methodology, training model or brand is used by an affiliate or partner centre, the affiliate or partner remains responsible for its own local operations unless otherwise agreed in writing.
This may include:
local registrations;
local staff;
venue management;
local insurance;
local permits;
compliance with local sport regulations;
safety procedures;
local tax obligations;
employment or contractor arrangements;
payments received from families or participants;
local complaints and incidents.
BTB4 may provide methodology, training, coach education, technical support, brand standards or quality guidance, but this does not automatically make BTB4 responsible for all local operational activities.
25. No guarantee of sporting outcome
BTB4 provides sport development, training, methodology, consultancy and advisory services.
BTB4 does not guarantee:
professional contracts;
academy selection;
trials;
scouting outcomes;
scholarships;
transfer opportunities;
team selection;
performance improvement by a specific date;
injury prevention;
career success;
financial return;
sporting ranking or measurable result.
Sport development depends on many factors, including the participant’s commitment, health, consistency, environment, club context, physical development, psychological factors and external opportunities.
26. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any mandatory legal rights that cannot be excluded.
Subject to this, BTB4 is not liable for:
losses caused by incorrect or incomplete information provided by the client;
losses caused by third-party organisers, venues or providers outside BTB4’s control;
loss of opportunity, selection, contract, trial or career outcome;
indirect or consequential losses;
personal items lost, stolen or damaged, except where caused by BTB4’s negligence;
travel, accommodation or other personal expenses booked independently by the client;
events outside BTB4’s reasonable control.
Where BTB4 is not the direct organiser or contractual provider, BTB4’s responsibility is limited to the services it expressly agreed to provide.
27. Force majeure
BTB4 is not responsible for failure or delay in performing its obligations where this is caused by events outside its reasonable control.
Such events may include severe weather, natural disasters, pandemics, governmental restrictions, strikes, transport disruption, war, terrorism, civil unrest, venue closure, power failure, illness, injury, technical failure or other events beyond reasonable control.
28. Complaints
If a client is unhappy with a BTB4 service, they should contact BTB4 as soon as possible at:
director@betterthanb4ltd.com
Complaints should include:
the participant’s name;
the programme or service;
the date and location;
a description of the issue;
any supporting information.
Where the complaint concerns a partner or affiliate service, BTB4 may refer the matter to the relevant partner or affiliate.
BTB4 will aim to review complaints fairly and within a reasonable time.
29. Suspension or termination of participation
BTB4 or the relevant organiser may suspend or terminate participation where:
fees are unpaid;
required forms or consents are missing;
medical or safety information is incomplete;
the participant is unsuitable for the programme;
there is serious misconduct;
there is a safeguarding or welfare concern;
programme rules are breached;
participation creates a risk to the participant or others;
the client provides false or misleading information.
Refunds in these circumstances depend on the reason for termination, the service model, the programme terms and applicable law.
30. Governing law and jurisdiction
Where BTB4 is the direct contractual provider, these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in the client’s country of residence provide otherwise.
Where a partner or affiliate is the direct contractual provider, the partner’s or affiliate’s governing law and jurisdiction terms may apply to that contract.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory legal rights that apply to consumers under applicable law.
31. Changes to these Terms
BTB4 may update these Terms from time to time.
The version applicable to a booking is normally the version in force at the time of registration or purchase, unless changes are required by law, safety, operational necessity or by agreement with the client.
The latest version will be made available on BTB4 websites, landing pages or programme materials.
