PLATINUM SQUARE HERITAGE DAY COMPETITION 2026

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. PROMOTER
1.1 The promoter of this competition is Platinum Square Shopping Centre ("the Promoter").

2. COMPETITION PERIOD
2.1 The competition will run from 1 September 2026 to 21 September 2026.
2.2 All entries must be completed before the competition closes on 21 September 2026.
2.3 No late entries will be accepted.

3. ELIGIBILITY
3.1 The competition is open to South African citizens who are 18 years of age or older.
3.2 Entrants must have a valid South African ID document/card and may be required to provide proof of identity and citizenship before a prize is awarded.
3.3 Employees, directors, members, agents, consultants, contractors, suppliers and tenants of the Promoter, as well as their immediate family members and persons directly involved in the administration of this competition, may not enter.
3.4 The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any entrant before confirming a winner.

4. HOW TO ENTER
To qualify for the competition, entrants must complete ALL THREE of the following requirements:

• Follow the official Platinum Square social media account on which the competition is being promoted;

• Like the official Heritage Day Competition post; and

• Tag three (3) friends in the comments of the competition post.

4.1 All three requirements must be completed for an entry to be valid.
4.2 Failure to complete any one of the required steps will result in the entry being considered invalid.

5. PUBLIC SOCIAL MEDIA PROFILE
5.1 Entrants must have a public social media profile for the duration of the competition and until the winners have been verified.
5.2 The Promoter must be able to view the entrant's profile to verify that the entrant has followed the official Platinum Square account and completed the required entry steps.
5.3 If an entrant's profile is private, restricted, unavailable or otherwise prevents the Promoter from verifying the required entry steps, the Promoter reserves the right to declare the entry invalid.
5.4 Entrants are responsible for ensuring that their profile remains accessible for verification.

6. ENTRIES
6.1 One entry per person is permitted.
6.2 Only genuine, complete and valid entries will be considered.
6.3 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entries that are fraudulent, duplicated, manipulated, submitted through fake accounts, or otherwise intended to gain an unfair advantage.
6.4 The Promoter may verify any entry before confirming the entrant as a winner.

7. PRIZES
7.1 There will be three (3) winners.
7.2 Each winner will receive:

• One (1) Go Bar Keter, and

• One (1) R500 Checkers voucher.

7.3 Each winner will receive one prize package only.
7.4 Prizes are not transferable, refundable or exchangeable for cash or another prize.
7.5 The Promoter reserves the right, where reasonably necessary, to substitute a prize with a prize of equal or greater value should the advertised prize become unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter's reasonable control.

8. WINNER SELECTION
8.1 All valid and eligible entries will be included in one random draw pool.
8.2 Three (3) names will be selected at random from the draw pool.
8.3 The Promoter will verify that each selected entrant has complied with all entry requirements before confirming them as a winner.
8.4 If a selected entrant is found to be ineligible or has failed to comply with these Terms and Conditions, the entrant will be disqualified and another eligible entrant may be selected.

9. WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT
9.1 The three winners will be announced on 22 September 2026 on the official Platinum Square social media pages.
9.2 The Promoter will make reasonable attempts to contact each winner through the social media platform and/or contact details provided by the winner.
9.3 If a selected winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within a reasonable period, or is found to be ineligible, the Promoter reserves the right to select another winner.

10. PRIZE COLLECTION
10.1 Winners must collect their prizes personally from the Platinum Square Management Office at:

74 Gareth Avenue, Platinum Square Shopping Centre, Rustenburg.

10.2 Winners must present a valid South African ID document/card when collecting their prize.
10.3 Prizes must be collected no later than 16 October 2026.
10.4 If a winner fails to collect their prize by 16 October 2026, their entitlement to the prize will lapse.
10.5 In such circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to select another winner or, at its discretion, retain the prize for use in a future promotional competition.
10.6 Prizes will not be delivered or couriered by the Promoter.

11. WINNER PHOTOGRAPHS AND PUBLICITY
11.1 The Promoter may take a photograph of the winners with their prizes for the purpose of announcing and promoting the results of the competition on Platinum Square's social media pages and other marketing platforms.
11.2 The winner's name and surname may be published together with the winner's photograph for purposes of announcing the competition results and promoting Platinum Square.
11.3 By accepting the prize, the winner acknowledges that their name and photograph may be used for the above-mentioned competition-related promotional purposes, subject to applicable law.
11.4 No payment or additional compensation will be provided to the winner for such competition-related publicity.

12. PERSONAL INFORMATION
12.1 Personal information collected from entrants will be used for purposes reasonably necessary to administer the competition, verify entries, contact winners and facilitate the awarding of prizes, subject to applicable law.
12.2 The Promoter may retain information relating to the competition where required for record-keeping, legal or regulatory purposes.

13. SOCIAL MEDIA DISCLAIMER
13.1 This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Instagram or any other social media platform on which the competition may be promoted.
13.2 Entrants release the relevant social media platform from any liability arising from participation in this competition.

14. DISQUALIFICATION
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if:

• the entrant has not completed all required entry steps;

• the entrant is under 18 years of age;

• the entrant is not a South African citizen;

• the entrant cannot provide valid identification when requested;

• the entrant's social media profile cannot be verified;

• false, misleading or fraudulent information has been provided;

• the entrant has used a fake, fraudulent or duplicate account;

• the entrant has attempted to manipulate the competition or gain an unfair advantage;

• the entrant has breached any of these Terms and Conditions; or

• the entrant is otherwise found to be ineligible.

15. CANCELLATION OR AMENDMENT
15.1 The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the competition where reasonably necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, technical difficulties, fraud, abuse, unlawful activity or any other circumstances that may affect the fairness, integrity or proper administration of the competition.
15.2 Any material amendment or cancellation will be communicated through the Promoter's social media pages or other appropriate communication channels.

16. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
16.1 To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Promoter, its employees, agents, contractors, suppliers, consultants, directors and representatives will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, expense or claim arising from participation in the competition or the acceptance or use of any prize, except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

17. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
17.1 By entering this competition, the entrant confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
17.2 Any entrant who contravenes these Terms and Conditions may be disqualified from the competition.

18. AVAILABILITY OF TERMS & CONDITIONS
18.1 These Terms and Conditions will be made available to participants on request.
