But as I finished listening to the album, i realize that those expectations were exceedingly met and then more. The cd starts off with the song 'Stay', which is a good r&b song that shows off the young artists' excellent writing abilities. The standout tracks include, "'When You're Mad', 'It Just Ain't Right', 'Mirror', and 'Sexy Love'." All of these songs are great r&b tracks that show a glimpse of the r&b artists' potential. Then there is the monster track 'So Sick', which sped him to the road of super-stardom. A r&b ballad that shows Ne-yo's ability to ifflict emotion upon the listener with just his voice. But along from all of that this album does have its' missteps. 'Get Down Like That' is a song that could turn listeners off with its' country-r&b flavor. It's not really country it just sounds like it at times. Then there's the song 'Let Me Get This Right' which is the worst song on the album, it's an okay song but it can be a little boring at times and doesn't spark any interest from me to listen to it again. The rest of the songs are mediocre to good and require an open mind to really enjoy, but you will realize like I did that this is a new r&b artist on the rise to super-stardom.
