TeraFix Computer Repair Policy
At TeraFix, our goal is to make sure you get the best service and experience. Here’s what you can expect when working with us:
1. Our Services
We offer a range of services to keep your computer running smoothly, including:
Diagnostics & Repairs
Hardware Replacements & Upgrades
Software Troubleshooting & Installations
Operating System Installations
Data Recovery (where applicable)
System Cleaning & Optimization
Virus Removal & Security Updates
2. Service Pricing
Diagnosis: When we diagnose your PC, or if you’re looking for a diagnosis without further services, we charge a fee ranging from free to $40+, depending on the complexity of the issue.
Repair, Maintenance, & Other Services: These services typically range from $20 to $60+, depending on the complexity of the issue. Please note that parts are not included in these prices, but we’ll provide a clear estimate before any work begins.
Replacement Parts: If a repair requires parts we don’t have on hand, we’ll typically order them online. We’ll identify the necessary parts for you, but the cost of the parts is the client’s responsibility. We’re happy to work with either new or used parts, depending on your preference.
We’ll always give you an estimate and explain pricing before starting any service. Ex: (Diagnosis+Parts+Service=)
3. How Long Will It Take?
Most repairs are completed within 2-5 business days, depending on the issue. If it’s going to take longer, we’ll keep you updated so there are no surprises.
4. Our Warranty
We stand by our work! If the same issue occurs within 30 days of service, we’ll fix it for free.
5. Your Responsibility
Backup Your Data: We recommend that you back up your important files before sending your computer to us. While we take great care, we can’t be held responsible for any data loss during repairs.
Communication: If we need your approval for anything or there’s a change in the repair plan, we’ll contact you and let you know as soon as possible.
6. Payment
Payment is due when your service is complete. We accept cash and digital payments.
For certain services, we may ask for a deposit. We’ll let you know upfront if this is the case.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
If you cancel before we begin working on your device, there are no charges other than the diagnosis fee.
Once work begins, cancellations may incur a small fee based on the progress of the repair.
We don't offer refunds for services that have been completed, unless something went wrong on our end.
8. Liability
At TeraFix, we take great care to ensure your device is handled with the utmost care and expertise. However, please understand that we can't be held responsible for circumstances beyond our control, such as damage caused by external factors, pre-existing issues, or unexpected complications of the like during the repair process. While we do our best to safeguard your device, we recommend backing up your data before sending it in for service, just in case.
9. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Without your permission, we will never share your personal information or repair details with anyone outside of TeraFix.
10. Additional Notes
Suppose a device is left unclaimed and no communication is received from the client for a period of 30 days. In that case, TeraFix may consider the device abandoned and reserves the right to dispose of it at its discretion.
We reserve the right to refuse service if the services are deemed unsafe or unethical.
