Quantum matter theory group

Welcome to the quantum matter theory group page. I am the PI, Yi-Ping Huang. I am an assistant professor at National Tsing Hua University¹,  and Joint Appointment Assistant Research Fellow at the Institute of Physics, Academia Sinica², Taipei.

Our group starts from 2021.02.01. We study in and out-of equilibrium quantum matter with various theoretical and numerical tools. Here is a 10 mins introduction of our group.

• For incoming students: We are looking for students with strong motivation to explore emergent quantum phenomena. Research projects in our group require a strong background in quantum mechanics and positive attitudes toward unknown physics. Feel free to contact me if you want to work with us :)

• For postdocs: We are also looking for postdocs who have a strong theoretical background(analytic or numerical) in correlated systems. Please contact me if you want to join our group.

• Scientific activities of the group is organized by Indico. (The server is down for technical reasons starting from 2024. Jan.01. We will try to fix it hopefully soon. Please check another Indico page for events related to condensed matter theory.)
