The CMU Economics Club

We are a group for undergraduates interested in economic research. Our primary goal is to create a forum where students can engage with economic research alongside their peers in a relaxed setting. There are no requirements to join and students are welcome to engage in however many of the group’s activities they find interesting. Below are some initiatives we run.

Reading Group

For our first meeting, we will be going through officer and member introductions as well as what the club will be about, and a tentative schedule for the semester.

We meet on Thursdays from 5:30-6:30 pm in Tepper 2700. You may find us on TartanConnect as well.

Contact aebeh@andrew.cmu.edu to receive additional meeting info.

Discussion Group

The article discussion group will meet every week without another meeting or event. Come to stay up to date on current economic news, trends, and policies, or for free food and company! We will read from a wide range of publications like The Economist and Wall Street Journal. If you have any suggestions, please reach out to aebeh@andrew.cmu.edu.
