Research begins with a question or a problem that is motivated by data or by a gap in our existing knowledge.

Economics provides a framework for thinking through and answering research questions related to business or society. It guides us towards the data we need, enables us to interpret that data and to use it to forecast and evaluate business and policy decisions.
