My name is Pat Parris. My wife and I were educators in the public school system for 17 years. When we retired last year, we saw a window of opportunity for service. We researched and looked for job opportunities where we could use our teaching gifts to support Christian education. We were challenged by a gospel patron to use our skills to support local churches among our family of churches. After several letters and some help from Teach Beyond, we were able to secure jobs in a Christian School in San Jose, Costa Rica. Here there were two new church adoptions and an established church. After a year of being tentmakers, our team wants to support others wishing to be tentmakers to share the gospel and support disciples in every nation.
