Conference Dinner:
The conference dinner will be a fabulous Greek feast held at Mesa (link) on Tuesday, June 6. It is free for all registrants who have paid the registration fee. Mesa is on Johnston St in Abbotsford.
- Walking from the University takes about 40min.
- Mesa is very close to Victoria Park train station.
- There are regular buses (200 or 207) from the corner of Lygon and Faraday that stop at the train station.
- We will be booking (and paying for) taxis to take us from the University to Mesa around 6:30pm on the Tuesday. Please tell the organisers when paying your registration fee if you wish to share one of these taxis.
- Public transport in Melbourne requires a "myki" card. These are widely available for purchase, further information can be found here.
Local Transport:
Travel to the university from the airport is possible in several ways. Taxis are available from directly outside the terminal. It is also possible to arrange for a shuttle bus to the city, and then use trams to travel the university campus. Services such as SkyBus offer direct shuttle to the city, and tickets can be purchased at the airport terminal upon arrival. The "University of Melbourne/Swanston St" tram station is located almost directly in front of the conference building.
