Guidelines for preparing test specimens

The load limit of the machine is restricted to an upper limit of 1.5 kN

Users are requested to design their miniaturized (sub-standard) test samples such that the load while testing the sample does not exceed 1.5 kN. In this regard, the users can follow the simple equation:

Gauge area of the specimen (in sq. mm) = 1500 / (strength of the material, in MPa)

Please Note:

• Currently we have only flat grippers for tensile loading. Therefore, cylindrical specimens are not allowed for tensile testing.
