Language preferences: Your choice of English or Chinese (Traditional) for app interface and notifications.
Chat messages and communications: Messages exchanged between users to coordinate events.
Posts and applications: Event posts you create or applications you submit to join events.
Match details and preferences: Information about events you organize or join, such as location, time, or match type.
Unread message counts: Data to display notification badges in the app.
Authentication status: Information to verify your login state.

To provide and maintain our service, including account creation and event matching.

To manage your event posts and applications to join events.
To provide a personalized experience based on your language preferences.

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase services:
Firebase Authentication: Manages your email and encrypted password for secure login.
Firebase Firestore: Stores user profile information, chat messages, posts, and match details.
All data is encrypted in transit (using HTTPS) and at rest. We implement appropriate security measures, including access controls and regular security audits, to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data as required by PDPO.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Your data may be shared in the following circumstances:
With other users: As part of the app’s normal functioning, your profile information (e.g., name, skill level) and chat messages may be shared with other users to facilitate event coordination.
With service providers: We use trusted providers, such as Google Firebase, to operate the app. These providers process data under strict confidentiality agreements.
For legal reasons: We may disclose data when required by law, such as to comply with a court order, or to protect our legal rights.
In the future, if advertisements are introduced, we may share anonymized data with ad networks to deliver relevant ads. We will update this policy and notify you before doing so.

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than Hong Kong, such as the United States, where Firebase servers are located. We ensure appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, are in place to protect your data in accordance with PDPO and other applicable laws.
If we introduce advertisements, we may collect and use anonymized data to deliver personalized ads. We will ensure compliance with PDPO, update this policy, and notify you of any changes before implementing ads.
TennisGo HK is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such data, contact us at tennishkapp@gmail.com to have it removed.
