Welcome! I am a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus.

I am an applied microeconomist specializing in labour and public economics. My research broadly focuses on the impact of labour market regulations on immigrants, as well as the effects of public policy on children and families. Some of my published work investigates topics such as the influence of occupational licensing regulations on the native immigrant wage gap, the correlation between gender and corporate governance, and the consequences of changes in college tuition on student loan debt accumulation.

Across these research areas, I employ quasi-experimental methods to establish causal relationships and leverage diverse data sources to shed light on the underlying mechanisms.  

I earned my Ph.D. in economics from Kansas State University and my B.S. in Economics from the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus.
