Techtenstein ("we", "us", "our") operates the Tmail App ("the App"), a temporary and disposable email address service available on Google Play. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described below.
We do not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide your real email address.
Temporary email addresses and the messages received in them are processed by third-party email providers (Mail.tm and Guerrilla Mail). We do not run our own mail servers.
Your starred messages, address history, and preferences are stored only on your device.
We use Google AdMob (with optional mediation networks) to show ads, and Firebase to monitor crashes, analytics, and remote configuration.
You can revoke advertising consent at any time from the in-app settings or your device privacy controls.
The App does not ask you for personal information such as name, real email, phone number, or payment details. The only direct input we process is:
The disposable email address the App generates on your behalf.
Optional labels you assign to address slots.
Optional contents of any feedback email you choose to send us.
When you use the App, the following technical information may be processed by us or our service providers:
Device and OS version, app version, language, and country (Firebase Analytics).
Crash diagnostics and stack traces (Firebase Crashlytics).
Advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID) for non-personalised or personalised ads, depending on your consent (Google AdMob).
Install referrer string supplied by Google Play at install time (Play Install Referrer API).
Network type (Wi-Fi or cellular) for connectivity checks.
The disposable email addresses generated by the App and the messages sent to them are hosted and processed by third-party email providers — primarily Mail.tm and, where applicable, Guerrilla Mail. Their servers receive, store, and transmit the message content. Their respective privacy policies apply to that data. We do not operate or control these mail servers.
The following data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it:
Active disposable email addresses and slots.
Address history and slot labels.
Starred messages.
App preferences (e.g. auto-refresh toggle).
Streak counters and notification scheduling timestamps.
Provide the service — generate and refresh disposable email addresses, deliver incoming messages, and manage on-device features such as address history, starred messages, the home-screen widget, and the Quick Settings tile.
Improve stability and performance — diagnose crashes and analyse aggregated, anonymous usage patterns via Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics.
Monetisation — display banner, interstitial, native, app-open, and rewarded ads via Google AdMob and (optionally) mediation networks.
Communicate — respond to feedback you choose to send us.
Retention — send local reminder notifications about your daily streak or unused inboxes. These notifications are scheduled and shown locally; we do not send push notifications from our servers.
The App integrates the following third-party SDKs and services. Each operates under its own privacy policy:
Google AdMob — advertising
Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config — usage and stability
Google Play Services — In-App Updates, In-App Review, Install Referrer
The App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain your consent for personalised or non-personalised advertising where required by law (for example, under the EU GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act). You can change or withdraw your consent at any time:
Open the App, go to Settings, and use the consent option (where available in your region), or
Reset your Advertising ID on your device:
Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID / Delete advertising ID.
When you opt out of personalised ads, you may still see non-personalised ads.
Permission Why we use it
INTERNET
Fetch disposable addresses and incoming messages.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
Detect connectivity before network calls.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS
Show on-device reminder notifications.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED
Re-schedule reminder notifications after device reboot.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE
Run brief foreground work for inbox refresh when needed.
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID
Allow Google AdMob to read the Android Advertising ID for ad serving and frequency capping, subject to your consent.
Data stored on your device (history, starred messages, preferences) remains until you clear the App's storage or uninstall the App.
Disposable email accounts and messages are retained by the third-party mail providers per their own policies. Mail.tm and Guerrilla Mail typically expire and purge disposable inboxes automatically.
Crash and analytics data are retained by Firebase per Google's standard retention windows.
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
We use HTTPS for all network communication between the App and our third-party providers. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of any data transmitted through the App.
Depending on your jurisdiction (for example, the EU GDPR, the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may have rights including:
Right to know what information is processed about you.
Right to request deletion of data we hold about you.
Right to opt out of personalised advertising.
Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights, contact us at the email address in Section 12. Because the App does not require account creation, the most effective way to delete on-device data is to clear the App's storage or uninstall the App.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the App or on this page. Continued use of the App after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or the App's data practices, please contact:
