At TempMonitor, accessible from within the application, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors and users. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that are collected and recorded by TempMonitor and how we use it.

1. General Information & Local Processing

TempMonitor is designed to be a utility tool that operates primarily on your mobile device.

• Battery Temperature Monitoring: All data related to your device's battery temperature is processed locally on your device.

• 24h Statistics (Local Database): Your temperature history data is saved strictly using Android's local on-device database storage (Room). This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any external servers.

• On-Device Settings: Your preferences (such as text size, circle visibility, boot start behavior, alarm triggers, and AOD updates) are stored locally via SharedPreferences.

2. Advertising and Third-Party Services (AdMob)

This app uses Google AdMob as an advertising provider to display banner and rewarded video advertisements. To serve these ads, Google may collect and process certain device information.

• Information Processed by AdMob: Google AdMob may collect and use your device’s advertising ID (such as Google Advertising ID / GAID) to personalize ads, analyze ad performance, and prevent fraud.

• Control Over Personalization: You can reset or opt out of personalized ads at any time through your Android device system settings (Settings -> Privacy -> Ads).

3. Required Permissions

To perform its core functions as an active background monitoring utility, the app requires the following system permissions:

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS: To display the temperature in your status bar.

• FOREGROUND_SERVICE & FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE: To keep the monitor active in the background for continuous safety tracking and user awareness.

• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: To optionally launch the background monitor automatically when your device finishes booting up.

• INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: To load the advertisements via Google AdMob.

• VIBRATE: To trigger a physical haptic vibration alert if your device reaches the critical overheating threshold of 45°C.

4. Children's Information

Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.

TempMonitor does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our app, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
