# Temp Mail – Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Temp Mail mobile application (the “App”) handles information. The App is published by “thegsmwork” (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

We designed this App to help you interact with temporary/disposable email addresses. Based on this project’s configuration, the App uses:

- Jetpack Compose for UI

- OkHttp for network requests

- WorkManager for background work

- Google Mobile Ads SDK for advertising

We do not include analytics SDKs in the build configuration. The Policy below reflects these facts.

## 1. What information we collect

- Information you provide directly

  - The App does not require you to create an account or provide personal details to use core functionalities.

  - If you contact us for support (email: thegsmwork@gmail.com), we will receive the contents of your message and any contact details you include.

- Information collected automatically

  - App and device information: device model, OS version, app version, performance and crash-related diagnostics generated by the OS or runtime (if applicable).

  - Usage data: how you interact with the App’s screens and features (to the extent available via the OS/runtime; we do not ship a separate analytics SDK).

  - Network information: IP address and basic request metadata as part of normal HTTPS requests made by OkHttp to third-party services you elect to use with the App.

- Advertising data (third party)

  - The App integrates Google Mobile Ads SDK to show ads. Google and its partners may collect device identifiers (for example, the Google Advertising ID), coarse location, IP address, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads in accordance with their policies.

## 2. How we use information

- Provide and maintain the App’s functionality.

- Show advertising within the App.

- Improve reliability and performance, troubleshoot issues, and protect against abuse.

- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

## 3. Temporary email content and third‑party services

- The App is a client that helps you work with temporary/disposable email addresses provided by third-party services. We do not operate an email service.

- Email content you view is fetched from third parties at your direction. We do not persist such content on our own servers. Within the App, content is stored only as needed in memory or local storage to display features you invoke. If you choose to export or save content (e.g., via the system document picker), it is saved to locations you select on your device or cloud provider.

- Your use of any third-party temporary email provider is subject to that provider’s own terms and privacy policy.

## 4. Legal bases (where applicable)

Depending on your region, we process information based on one or more of the following:

- Performance of a contract (to provide the App to you)

- Legitimate interests (e.g., App security, showing non‑personalized or contextual advertising)

- Consent (e.g., personalized advertising, where required by law)

- Compliance with legal obligations

## 5. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in these limited cases:

- Service providers and SDKs that enable App features (e.g., Google Mobile Ads SDK)

- Compliance with laws, legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety

- With your direction or consent (e.g., when exporting or sharing content using system share sheets)

## 6. Advertising and third‑party SDK disclosures

- Google Mobile Ads SDK: Used to display ads and measure their performance. Google may collect and use data in accordance with its own policies. For details, see Google’s policies for partner sites and technologies.

- You can reset or limit your device’s advertising identifier in your device settings. Depending on your region, the App or the ad SDK may request your consent to show personalized ads.

## 7. Data retention

- We retain locally stored App data only for as long as needed to provide functionality you request, or as required by law. Temporary email content is not stored on our servers. Any data you export is retained where you save it and under your control.

## 8. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the data we handle in the App. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

## 9. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age where consent is required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us to request deletion.

## 10. International data transfers

Information processed by third-party services (e.g., advertising networks or temporary email providers you use within the App) may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. These countries may have data protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction.

## 11. Your choices and controls

- Permissions: The App may request limited Android permissions to enable specific features (for example, saving or exporting content via the system document picker, or sending notifications if you enable them). You can grant or revoke permissions in your device settings; some features may not work without the relevant permission.

- Advertising choices: You can reset or limit your device’s advertising identifier, and where available, manage ad personalization preferences.

- Data access and deletion: Because we do not run a backend service for user accounts, requests for access or deletion typically pertain to data stored locally on your device or with third parties you choose to use. For assistance, contact us.

## 12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy in the App or in the project repository and revise the “Effective date” above. Your continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the changes.
