Historic Jewish Congregation

Temple Jacob was founded during the Keweenaw Copper Boom in 1912. The historic building has been featured in numerous books and publications of the area. It continues to serve the Jewish community with services, learning, holidays, life cycle events and social retreats.

The synagogue is open for tours May - October by appointment. During the winter, events are held at member homes. The best way to reach us is to send your information (name, phone, email and request) to us via email and one of our members will be in touch.

Visiting students from M.T.U. and seasonal summer visitors to the area are welcome to participate. We look forward to meeting you.
