Template CC Privacy Policy

Template CC for CapCut (“Template CC”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application handles information when you use our video template editing, media import, background removal, export, sharing, advertising, and review features.
Template CC is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by CapCut, ByteDance, or any related company.
1. Information We Collect
We do not require you to create an account.
Depending on how you use the app, the app may process the following information:
Media you choose:
When you import photos, videos, or audio files, the app uses those files to fill template slots, preview edits, and export your final video. These files are selected by you and are used for the editing features you request.
Exported videos:
When you export a video, the app saves the finished video to your device media library and/or app storage so you can preview, share, or manage it.
Local app data:
The app may store local settings, draft projects, template choices, export history, thumbnails, crop/trim settings, and similar app preferences on your device.
Background removal data:
If you use a template or feature that removes image backgrounds, the selected image may be processed on your device or sent to a configured background-removal model API, such as Hugging Face, only to generate the background-removed result.
Advertising data:
We use AppLovin MAX to show ads, including banner, interstitial, app open, and rewarded ads. AppLovin and its mediation partners may collect or process information such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, app activity related to ads, ad interactions, approximate location, device information, and diagnostic data for ad delivery, fraud prevention, frequency capping, measurement, and personalized or non-personalized advertising.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
Provide video template editing features
Import and preview photos, videos, and audio
Generate and save exported videos
Save your local projects and settings
Process background removal when requested
Show ads and rewarded ads
Improve app stability and functionality
Allow sharing of exported videos
Request an in-app review after a successful export
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your photos, videos, or exported content.

With advertising partners:
AppLovin MAX and its mediation partners may process advertising-related data as described in their privacy policies.
With background-removal providers:
If you use background removal, the selected image may be sent to the configured model API provider only for processing the image.
With operating system services:
The app uses Android/iOS media library, file picker, sharing, and store review services when you choose related actions.
For legal or safety reasons:
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users, our app, or others.

6. Data Retention
Most project data, settings, imported media references, thumbnails, and exported video records are stored locally on your device. You can delete exported videos or uninstall the app to remove local app data.
Third-party services, such as AppLovin or a background-removal provider, may retain data according to their own privacy policies.

You can:
Choose not to import media
Choose not to use background removal
Delete exported videos from the app or device
Reset or uninstall the app to remove local app data
Limit ad personalization through your device privacy or advertising settings
Decline optional permissions where supported
8. Children’s Privacy
Template CC is not intended for children under 13 or the minimum age required in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect information handled by the app. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update it, we will change the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
