Sera

Orphaned at a young age in the Capital of Ferelden, Sera never truly knew her parents or how they passed. She does remember Lady Emmald, though; a 'kindly' minor noble who adopted her, Lady Emmald also passed before Sera reached maturity. Her death, however, gave neither comfort nor conflict to Sera, who had mixed feelings about the woman after witnessing years of dedication to her own pride. Although Sera may have been named as The Bequeathed in Lady Emmald's will, she rejected anything from the estate, save the cost of the inn she returned to in Denerim after the Blight had passed and matters of estate were settled. 

Having left the estate shortly after Lady Emmald's passing, two years before the Blight, Sera survived on the streets of Denerim with the help of the Friends of Red Jenny. finding her own community in them, Sera rose through their unspoken 'ranks' as she continued her practice of archery. As time passed, she began to travel with the money taken from those who used their status and wealth to subjugate others who they deemed 'lesser'.
