OVERVIEW:
Born in New Zealand, Eva’s father was an American citizen who chose to return home. As Eva grew, so did her family, and she soon had two younger sisters, 2 and 4 years younger than her. Living in Montana was far from ideal, however, and despite her love for her family, once she graduated, Eva chose to pursue a military career. She enlisted as a Marine, beginning training at 18 and deployed a year later. For nearly 5 years she continued to tour, returning home between each to visit with her family.
Born to a wastelander family in the small community of Quincy, Eva King lived as normal a life as she could, following in her father’s footsteps and joining the Minutemen at the age of 16. For nearly 8 years she was happy to help the Commonwealth as best she could, until the events at Quincy took place. She heard of the massacre only peripherally, having been attending to another settlement, but hurried back home … only to find her friends and family dead or gone missing.
Believing the Minutemen lost, Eva chose to continue helping those she met as best she could. When news came of the reformation of the Minutemen, she was quick to join up once more, offering her ability and knowledge to the service of the wasteland.
When Eva returned to her family, she expected to find peace between tours, the calm between the storms- instead, they warned her of the rise of a nearby religious group, the Project at Eden’s Gate, threatening their friends, family and livelihood. The Reaping came on suddenly, but like many others within Hope County, the King family prepared a bunker of supplies and reached out to others of like minds in case the worst came to pass.
Living near the center of the County, Eva found herself connected to each of the resistance groups, and easily fell into a role of unique leadership- that of a strategic messenger, ensuring each of the Resistances were coordinated and aware of one another, and providing her knowledge and ability to whomever required it.
