OVERVIEW: Timid and quiet, Alia is the kind of person who runs from danger rather than towards it. She is sweet and kind, and when forced, can handle herself. However, she prefers books to people, and is especially fascinated by history and the study of it.
Born to James and Caterina Soli, Alia was never a standout student, nor an athletic superstar. Her grades were mediocre and she made few friends, but she lived in a well-loved home with her mother and father, and never showed much inclination towards most friendships anyways.
When Alia was 11, her parents decided to move from Puerto Rico to the continental United States, as her mother was pregnant and her father’s family had recently established roots there. Alia began attending classes at the local middle school up until the untimely birth of her sister, Dolores.
April 4th, 20XX, when Alia was 13 years old, Catherina Soli was pronounced dead just as Dolores Soli was brought into the world. James was a husk of himself for some time, taking paternity leave and busying himself with his daughter’s lives. However, James would have to return to work eventually, leaving Alia to care for her younger sister when James’ ER days ran long.
Alia’s mediocre grades began slipping as she took on more and more responsibility at home, leaving her with little in the way of free time and far less sanity. Midway through high school, she was provided with a college tutor: Justain Bedwyr, a welcome mentor who would eventually become her friend as well.
As the years passed, Alia would come to apprentice beneath her Uncle at his restaurant, Boquitas, learning to cook the Guatemalan cuisine her dad loved and nurturing a love for baking in the process.
At 19, however, she was diagnosed with Leukemia, and the restaurant went without her for a full year as she underwent and recovered from treatment.
6 years passed, and Alia is now head baker and part-time chef at Boquitas, earning her keep and making a living doing the things she loves most, all while taking care of her now-12 year old sister.
An escaped circle mage accompanied by her renegade ex-templar best friend, only obtainable through backing the Mages.

Formerly of the Ferelden Circle, Alia escaped in the disaster that was the Fifth Blight, and has been on the run ever since.
Upon the formation of the Inquisition, Alia threw herself upon its mercy along with the other mages.
