Privacy Policy for Teleprompter for video: Studio
Privacy Policy for Teleprompter for video: Studio
Last Updated: 20 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Teleprompter for video: Studio (“the App,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information when you use our iOS application.
The App is designed to let you create and import scripts, use a teleprompter, record and edit videos, control prompting with compatible accessories, and manage recordings primarily on your device.
The App does not require you to create an account.
We do not operate our own servers for collecting or storing your name, email address, scripts, recordings, photos, or other personal content.
If you contact us by email, we receive the email address, message, and other information you voluntarily provide. The App may prefill your support email with technical details such as the App version, iOS version, and general device model to help us respond to your request. You may edit or remove this information before sending the email.
When you create, paste, or import a script, the App may process information including:
Script titles and text
Word counts and text previews
Favorites or pinned status
Creation, modification, and recently opened dates
Preferred prompting speed and font size
Text mirroring preferences
Custom speed presets
This information is stored locally in the App’s container on your device.
The App can import plain-text and RTF documents that you select through Apple’s document picker or open with the App. The App accesses only the document you choose. Imported text is copied into the App’s local storage.
If you choose “Paste Text,” the App processes the text you intentionally paste from your clipboard.
If you grant permission, the App accesses your device’s camera and microphone to display a camera preview and record video and audio while you use the teleprompter.
Recordings are created and stored locally in the App’s storage on your device. The App does not upload your scripts, camera feed, microphone audio, or recordings to our servers.
The App may process recordings locally to provide features such as:
Video playback and previews
Trimming
Cropping
Filters
Exposure and other visual adjustments
Saving an edited copy
Replacing an original recording
Temporary files and thumbnails may be created on your device while recording or editing a video.
The App requests add-only Photos permission when you choose to save a recording to your Photos library.
This permission is used only to add the recording you selected. The App does not require permission to browse or read your existing Photos library.
A recording saved to Photos becomes a separate copy managed by the Photos app. Deleting the recording from the App does not necessarily delete the copy saved to Photos.
The App offers auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple’s App Store and uses RevenueCat to manage subscription status, purchase validation, entitlement access, and purchase restoration.
The App does not require a user account and does not provide RevenueCat with your name or email address. RevenueCat automatically creates a random, anonymous App User ID for the installation.
RevenueCat may process information such as:
The anonymous App User ID
Subscription products and purchase history
Apple transaction and receipt information
Subscription and entitlement status
Trial or introductory-offer eligibility
App, device, operating-system, and related technical information
The time the App or subscription service was last accessed
Apple processes payments and payment credentials. We do not receive or store your complete payment-card information.
RevenueCat states that its SDK collects purchase information for subscription management. More information is available in the RevenueCat Privacy Policy and its Apple App Privacy guidance.
The App stores preferences locally, including onboarding selections, countdown settings, prompting layout, recording quality, frame rate, HDR settings, the selected script, and related configuration.
The App may also create local recovery information if its on-device database cannot be opened. This information remains within the App’s storage and is used to help preserve or recover local data.
We use information processed through the App to:
Create, import, edit, organize, and display scripts
Operate the teleprompter and remember prompting preferences
Record, play, edit, store, export, and delete videos
Save recordings to Photos when requested
Support external displays and compatible hardware controls
Process purchases, restore purchases, and determine subscription access
Respond to support requests
Maintain the security, reliability, and operation of the App
Comply with applicable legal obligations
We do not use scripts, recordings, camera content, microphone audio, or imported documents for advertising, profiling, or training artificial-intelligence models.
Used to show a live preview and record videos when you use the recording feature.
Used to record audio with your videos.
Used to save a recording to your Photos library when you request it.
Used to read a plain-text or RTF document that you explicitly select or open with the App.
Used when you intentionally choose to paste script text.
Used to display teleprompter content through compatible AirPlay, HDMI, or other Apple-supported external-display connections.
Used to detect and respond to compatible input devices for controlling the teleprompter. The App may display the accessory’s name or connection status locally.
The App does not request location, contacts, health, advertising-tracking, or background-tracking permission.
The App uses or may interact with:
Apple App Store and StoreKit: Payments, subscriptions, purchase restoration, receipts, reviews, and subscription management
RevenueCat: Subscription offerings, purchase validation, entitlement status, trial eligibility, purchase history, restoration, and customer-center features
Apple Photos: Saving recordings you select
Apple Files and document picker: Selecting scripts to import
Apple Mail or another email app: Sending support messages
Apple share sheet: Sharing the App or exporting a recording to a destination you choose
Apple external-display and accessory frameworks: Supporting external displays, keyboards, foot pedals, and game controllers
When you use an Apple service or another external application, that provider may process information according to its own terms and privacy policy.
The App does not currently include third-party advertising SDKs, behavioral analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking SDKs.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share scripts, imported text, recordings, camera content, or microphone audio with third parties unless you intentionally export or share that content.
Purchase and technical information may be shared with Apple and RevenueCat as necessary to process subscriptions, validate purchases, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and provide paid access.
If you use the share sheet, save a recording to Photos, send an email, write an App Store review, or open an external service, the information you choose to provide is handled by the selected service.
We may disclose limited information if reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal requests, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or misuse, or enforce our agreements.
Scripts, recordings, preferences, edits, and related metadata remain on your device until you delete them or delete the App, subject to how iOS manages device storage and backups.
You can delete scripts and recordings using the controls provided in the App. Deleting a recording removes the App’s local copy. It does not automatically delete copies previously saved to Photos, Files, cloud storage, or another destination.
Deleting the App generally removes its local application data from the device. Copies contained in device backups or exported to other services may remain according to the settings and retention practices of those services.
RevenueCat and Apple may retain purchase and transaction information for subscription management, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. To request deletion of information under our control, contact us at the address below. Some transaction records may need to be retained where required by law.
Support emails are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain support records, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
We use the protections provided by iOS and the App’s sandboxed storage to help protect locally stored information.
No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for securing your device, Apple Account, backups, and any destinations to which you export recordings or scripts.
Apple, RevenueCat, email providers, and other services you choose may process information in countries other than your own. Their processing is governed by their privacy policies and applicable data-protection safeguards.
You can:
Decline or revoke Camera, Microphone, or Photos permission in iOS Settings
Delete scripts and recordings through the App
Delete the App and its local data
Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account
Choose whether to import, paste, save, export, or share content
Contact us to ask about privacy rights available in your jurisdiction
Revoking Camera or Microphone access will prevent recording features from working. Revoking Photos access will prevent the App from saving recordings to Photos.
The App is not directed specifically to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own servers.
If a child is permitted to use the App, a parent or legal guardian should supervise the child’s use, especially when recording or sharing videos. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through a support request, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
You are responsible for obtaining any permission or consent required before recording, storing, editing, or sharing another person’s image, voice, performance, or personal information.
Recording and privacy laws vary by location. You should comply with the laws that apply where the recording is made and used.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, third-party services, or legal requirements.
The updated version will be posted wherever this Privacy Policy is made available. The “Last Updated” date will indicate when the latest revision took effect.
If you have questions, concerns, or privacy requests, contact:

By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand the data practices described above.
