This Privacy Policy describes how information is collected, processed, and protected when you use the “Telegram Bot / Scam Detector” browser extension (hereinafter referred to as “the extension”).
Please review it carefully to understand our data-handling practices.
The extension does not collect or request:
your Telegram messages, chats, contacts, or media;
login data, passwords, tokens, or session keys;
names, email addresses, or any data that directly identifies you.
If you choose to contact us for support, any information you voluntarily provide (such as an email for reply) will be used only for communication purposes.
To perform risk detection and maintain core functionality, the extension may process limited technical information, such as:
anonymized account identifiers detected in Telegram Web,
browser and operating system metadata,
non-personal diagnostic information for security and performance,
data related to detection events (e.g., “suspicious account flagged”).
This information does not include chat text, messages, or private communication content.
The extension cannot read or export messages from Telegram Web.
The extension may use the browser’s local storage solely to:
store previously detected account results,
improve detection speed,
reduce unnecessary repeated backend checks.
Stored data remains on your device and is never uploaded or shared, except for strictly required detection requests described below.
The extension does not collect or transmit cookies belonging to Telegram or any other websites.
The extension may process non-identifiable data such as:
detection events,
anonymous usage metrics,
general operational logs.
This data cannot identify you and is not linked to any user accounts, browser profiles, or Telegram identities.
You may disable optional analytics (if available) inside the extension settings.
For the purpose of verifying whether an account may represent a bot, scam profile, or mass-created entity, the extension may send minimal technical identifiers to a trusted backend service.
These identifiers:
do not contain your messages, chat history, username, phone number, or contact list;
refer only to the account being analyzed (e.g., anonymized numeric ID);
are used exclusively for security scoring and risk classification.
No personal Telegram content is ever transmitted.
When first used, the extension may generate a random, anonymous UID used only to:
distinguish installation sessions,
prevent abuse of backend resources,
count unique detection requests.
The UID is:
not linked to personal data,
not based on device fingerprinting,
not used for profiling or tracking.
Information may be processed when you:
load Telegram Web with the extension enabled,
interact with group chats or open user profiles,
trigger account analysis,
view detection statistics inside the extension.
Processing occurs only as needed for functionality.
Collected data is used only to:
analyze accounts for bot or scam indicators,
display warnings within Telegram Web,
improve detection accuracy and performance,
protect users from fraudulent or malicious behavior,
prevent backend abuse or automated misuse.
We do not build behavioral profiles, sell data, or attempt to identify real individuals.
We do not sell, trade, or transfer personal information to third parties.
Limited non-personal technical data may be shared only with infrastructure providers that support detection services, and only under confidentiality obligations.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
The extension may reference external resources for support or documentation.
These third-party sites operate independently under their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
The extension is not directed toward children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We retain only the minimal technical data required to operate the extension.
Local cache and non-essential usage data may be deleted automatically or manually by the user.
Backend logs are stored only for the shortest operationally required period.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us through the support section available within the extension.
