Telegram Exporter ("we", "our", or "the extension") is dedicated to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome extension processes information when you use our service.

### 1. Single Purpose & Core Principle

Telegram Exporter is designed to help users create local backups of their Telegram chats, group members, and media files from the official Telegram Web interface (web.telegram.org).

**We prioritize a local-first privacy model: your messages, contacts, and media files are processed 100% locally on your computer and are NEVER sent to our servers or any third-party servers.**

### 2. Information We Process

* **Telegram Chat & Media Content:** When you initiate an export, the extension temporarily reads the chat messages, member lists, and media files visible in your open Telegram Web session solely to compile your export files (JSON, CSV, HTML, TXT, or ZIP). This data is processed exclusively in your browser memory and saved directly to your local device download folder.

* **No Server Storage:** We do not operate databases storing your conversations. We cannot see, intercept, or access your Telegram messages.

* **Authentication Credentials:** The extension does not collect, ask for, or store your Telegram phone numbers, passwords, SMS codes, or two-factor authentication credentials.

### 3. Permissions Used & Justification

* **`storage`:** Used exclusively to store local user settings (export preferences, UI state, daily quota counters) and your Pro license key status locally on your device via `chrome.storage.local`.

* **Host Permission (`https://web.telegram.org/*`):** Required exclusively to interact with Telegram Web to extract the data you choose to back up. The extension cannot interact with any other website.

### 4. Payments & License Keys (Pro Edition)

* Payments are processed securely through **Lemon Squeezy**, our merchant of record. We do not process, store, or receive your credit card numbers or financial details.

* When activating a Pro license, your license key is sent securely via HTTPS to the official Lemon Squeezy API (`https://api.lemonsqueezy.com`) solely to verify license validity and expiration.

### 5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

* We do **not** sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third parties.

* We do **not** use your data for advertising, marketing, or tracking purposes.

* We do **not** use user data to determine creditworthiness or lending eligibility.
