Following Dan's Thank You letter on Hey book (A Bike for Dan story), 5th grade pupils discuss and fill out a survey on what makes them happy. They also watch a video clip of children talking about things that make them happy. This clip serves as modeling for their own video clip. At the end of the lesson, pupils record themselves demonstrating and speaking about what makes them happy, when and where they do it and (optional) who they do it with.
To create a video portfolio on Canva.com, you can use one of the Instagram templates. Add a cover page and some personal words to your students on the front page, and upload their videos.
It's recommended you use templates where a few images/videos are presented on the same page. This way you can create a collection type presentation.
