Whats Up?
Kia Ora Te Kahu,
Welcome to Term 4!
Term four is a special time to wind up all of your fantastic learning for the year and to enjoy what will be some of your last 9 weeks at PCS. Year eight students, this is your time to shine, time to step up even more as leaders and take on every opportunity to help prepare you for highschool.
This term we will be focusing on the Arts and tapping into our community. We will be finishing off our Statistics unit and filling in any gaps we have over the remainder of the term.
Term Four is jam packed with activities and learning opportunities. We have athletics training starting in week 1 of term four, your results from trainings will determine who goes on to represent our kura at the Central Zone athletics day in week 3. PCS Athletics will be held in week 4. So make sure you remember your PE gear everyday and that you train hard. School production will also take place this term along with a 'camp', Mathex and a Rippa Rugby tournament for year 7 & 8 students. Technology will continue to run throughout term four.
We have Miss Lawless joining us for the first 4 weeks of term four, she is a second year Student teacher from the University of Auckland, I know you will all make her feel very welcome and a part of the Te Kahu whanau.
For religious education we will be celebrating the month of the Rosary, Advent, All Saints, Christmas and McAuley day. I am looking forward to watching you all progress in your faith over this last term at school.
Nga mihi nui,
Whaea Danni
