ALAS, I CANNOT BURN IN THE DARK
Hello! I am Tehya Metzinger, an artist of many trades, but in all facets I have a great passion for storytelling and putting out wonderful narratives into the world. Weather it is a feel-good story regarding the overcoming of powerful emotions or a macabre tale with blood, death and the supernatural, I love to ingrain my intricate mind into all things I write and conceptualize. Sometimes I have been even called an old soul by the way I attach to classical concepts, with works reminding one of old paintings, candles and warmtone wood, all with a splash of mystical color.
I believe a good story always starts with an off-kilter world, and a good character to have the fortune (or un-fortune) to discover exactly what it has planned for them.
I am always starting new projects to fuel the creative fire in my heart.
If I seem like the the type of person you'd like to work on one of your own projects, or if you'd like to help me with one of my own, feel free to check out my previous work throughout this site, and contact me where ever is most convenient!

Glorious Thing
Glorious Thing is a short film I wrote and directed, early 2024. It follows the story of Darcy, a scientist with a strong passion for the concept of time and the ability to travel through it, before he comes across a mysterious music box that might be exactly what he has always been looking for.
I have many places where you can find my most recent work and in turn, support me as I make my way through the creative world!
