Review process
Once you submit your online application via the Google Form above, a TEEP coordinator will confirm with you within 7 business days via your provided email (in the filled Google Form in Step 1 or the email you used in Step 2). The program mentor will evaluate all aspects of your application, including academic qualifications, professional experience, English language skills, and your motivation and expectations for the program. If your application passes the initial review, you will get a formal invitation to do internships at CISLab, College of Engineering, National Chung Cheng University, Chiayi, Taiwan. Admission spots are limited each year. In 2024, there were a total of 206 submissions, and 24 candidates were accepted through the online submission channel. You are encouraged to submit early with careful preparation of documents to tell an outstanding story of your potential academic qualifications.
What you will do during the internship period
1. Read/survey the international papers on selected topics, e.g., Explainable AI, ISAC, Quantum Machine Learning
2. Do programming for mini projects on selected topics: e.g., AI models for preventing adversarial attacks
3. Suggest novel/creative ideas to enhance assigned mini-projects
4. Report the results in a professional manner, for example, in LateX writing, IEEE Trans format
5. Attend several industry tours, Chinese courses, or research culture introductions.
Preferred Intern Education Level
- Third-year undergraduate students or above
- Graduate candidates (had Bachelor/ Master)
- Ph.D. students
Highly recommend the following candidates to join our group:
1. Strong interest in IT, computer science, computer vision, computer networks, AI and cybersecurity.
2. Background knowledge in networking/security, mathematics, optimization, quantum, and computer vision.
3. Publications in my research field
4. International English proficiency certificate (TOEIC >= 650, IELTS >=5.5, TOEFL iBT >= 80 )
Students should select at least 3 months to 6 months. The starting date can be any time between April 2025 and Dec 30, 2025.
