Shumon is an organizer of this event. He is passionate about sharing new and interesting ideas that will positively impact the world. Because this passion aligns with TED's mission, he has decided to fully immerse himself in the world of TED by co-organizing a TEDxYouth event.

Séamus Kaip is an eager, enthusiastic, and curious grade 12 International Baccalaureate student at Parkdale Collegiate Institute. Having watched TED and TEDx talks since he was 10, Séamus jumped at the opportunity to organize and manage a TEDx Youth event. He is passionate about new and insightful ideas and created this event to help his peers share ideas, and to learn from others in their community. Outside of TEDx, Séamus has helped organize numerous events for his fellow students, in hopes of engaging with them about the world we all live in.

Mercy Sang Te is a curious and passionate student. She has always been aware of the social issues surrounding her. Raising awareness and helping create good social changes have always been on her agenda. She is passionate about innovative and insightful ideas that can better the world. When the opportunity to help organize a TEDx Youth event arose, she gratefully accepted with the hope of spreading insightful ideas and keeping herself informed.

Suspected to have been birthed sometime in the early 2000s, not much is known about this mysterious creature. Some have reported him scurrying around the streets of Parkdale, some simply dismiss his existence completely. It's hard to confirm or deny his existence, but according to legend, he is a pretty cool guy.

Hoda Hussein is a well-rounded and outgoing student and an ambitious learner. She loves having insightful conversations with others to share and learn new perspectives. Hoda enjoys helping her friends and community whenever given the opportunity. She is a regular volunteer and youth coach at Mentoring Junior Kids Organization, a charitable organization that promotes positive and healthy lifestyle choices through mentoring and leadership. Hoda is looking forward to being apart of the TEDxYouth@PCI team and learning new things along the way.

Samuel Jacek is a grade 12 International Baccalaureate student at Parkdale Collegiate Institute. Having been intrigued by and watching TED and TEDx talks for the past four years and having an interest in filmmaking, Samuel was eager to help out with a TEDx Youth event at his school.

Valentina Dinh, is a creative and cooperative student who is always willing to help and support her peers.

She is passionate about photography and enjoys taking photographs with her DSLR camera. She also enjoys drawing, sculpting, and any type of visual arts. Valentina not only invests her time in the arts but is also an active person who plays basketball on school teams and in her free time. She devotes her time in extra curricular activities including, Yearbook Club and various sports teams. She wait to work with a crew full of inspiring students!

Sydney Mak is a hard-working and optimistic student, always ready to help in any way she can. She is an avid lover of playing sports and learning about different cultures. Inspired by many current events and having a strong sense of passion for social injustices, Sydney is regularly educating herself and others on what we can do to make society better. She has volunteered with A Brighter Path, a program for Ethnic Minority Girls in Vietnam that provides hope for a brighter future, in terms of education rights, and a break from the poverty cycle. Sydney is excited to be on the TEDxYouth team and hopeful of what the future holds.

Charlie-Yoko McDonald is a grade 12 student at Parkdale Collegiate Institute. She has always been passionate about using art and creativity to express her views. Her main creative focuses are photography and film and she is hoping to pursue a post secondary education in fine arts. Curiosity is an important value to her and she has always had a fascination with the ideas and stories shared through TED talks. Charlie is excited to now be able to be a part in this and help spread ideas worth sharing though platforms like TED.

Tenzin Pema is a diligent and ambitious student that is constantly setting high goals for herself to strive for the best. She is an enthusiastic and prominent member of her school and community. Due to her involvement in numerous organizations and events. Pema is the co-president of Key Club, an international service organization whose goal is to encourage leadership through serving others. She is also extremely passionate about her culture and dedicates a lot of her time to keep her culture alive by volunteering at the Tibetan Cultural Centre. She is always excited to learn more and to be involved in various things. Making her excited to able to contribute and be part of the TEDxYouth@PCI team.

Xiao Ying is a grade 12 student interested in being involved with her school community.
