What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxYouth@AISVIETNAM, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxYouth@AISVIETNAM event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

With curiosity's nails clawing its way into your skull, the urge to stay locked within the spiral of knowledge consumption remains as the only answer for there is just so much to learn. You can only begin to grasp the chaos of the world by trying to control the intertwinement of how much you know.

Welcome to AISVIETNAM’s TEDx, where we explore the intricate connections between seemingly disparate concepts under the theme, “The Interconnectedness of Existence” as the threads around our globe grow tighter. It's all quite simple: everything in the universe is linked either scientifically, spiritually, or philosophically. This theme explores and showcases how the different connected aspects of existence influence one another to create and maintain life, which we will magnify for you through the lens of science. Join us to discover more about how the deep ties of life bind us all together.

Who Are We?

We are a group of students at AIS who hope to explore the world through our multilateral prism of scientific findings. As aspiring scientists, we see TEDx as an opportunity to delve further into the many scientific fields we don’t understand and to take the foundational science offered at schools to a higher level because access to science should be a right, not a privilege. As the organizers of TEDx 2024-2025, we’d love to have you on board in a journey to ignite a spark of wonder and appreciation for the intricate algorithms that coordinate to craft and maintain our existence.

It is human nature to be curious, to thirst for knowledge, to conquer what we know to be unknown. This TEDx is a testimony to the effort we invest into nurturing our connection with the sciences in hopes they will blossom as we become more interconnected to our world.
