12 Scriptures Project

Description of the 12 Scriptures Project (video)

Tedrow Mennonite Church participated in the 12 Scriptures Project in the Fall of 2013. During that time every household was invited to come up with 5-10 verses that were meaningful and formative to their spiritual lives. Persons then shared those verses with their Sunday School class. Each Sunday School class from MYF (Mennonite Youth Fellowship) age and up was then asked to identify and agree on twelve scriptures they together felt were meaningful and formative to them. On Sunday, October 13, the congregation came together and each class shared their twelve scriptures.

The key outcome of this process was the Church coming together to discern and discuss Scripture together by sharing stories about why these verses were meaningful to them.
