About Me

I have lived in North Salt Lake for 18 years and love NSL!  As a Council Member, I’ve been committed to making it a better place to raise a family.  I am married and am the proud father of three children.

I have served our city for ten years, two with the City Council and eight on the Planning Commission, including three years as Commission Chair.

I have spent my career as a city planner.  As a Council Member and in my career I have been committed to making communities better places to live.  I am the Deputy Director at Wasatch Front Regional Council (WFRC), a civic organization that is guided by a council of Mayors and County Commissioners from across the Wasatch Front.  At WFRC we collaborate with communities to address the challenges that stem from a growing population: meeting housing needs, addressing traffic and transportation, creating economic opportunities, and ensuring we have great places to play and recreate.  I also teach in the College of Architecture + Planning at the University of Utah, where I was recognized as a Distinguished Alumni.  I have served twice as the chapter president of the American Planning Association Utah Chapter.
