Thunder take title
The Tecumseh Thunder won the Metro City Classic Detroit Baseball Classic U18/U17 Division on the weekend.
Tecumseh beat Baseball Utility out of Warren, MI by a 3-0 score in the final. Right-hander Cody Moore threw a four-hit shutout and was named the tournament MVP after pitching 13 shutout innings and allowing just seven hits in the tournament. He got offensive support from Owen Findlay, who had three hits in the final.
The Thunder reached the final with a 3-2 win over Sarnia. Findlay threw six innings of shutout baseball and Brandon Leblanc went three-for-three at the plate. ~ Jim Parker Windsor Star~
